Perfect size, tidy appearance
I noticed a couple of recurring issues in the reviews, but personally haven't had to deal with either of these. The salt seems to grind to a semi-course texture. The pepper seems to grind a bit finer, but personally it doesn't bother me that much. I also don't notice them leaking too much. Maybe a few grains here and there, but nothing to write home about. They're a good size, and would look great in the kitchen or on the table. My husband keeps trying to put them away in a cupboard, but they're so pretty I like to leave them out on the bench.

Love 'em but salt mill doesn't grind well
I wanted something stylish that we could use at our dining table. The pepper mill works great. Our salt mill seems to pulverize the salt now, as another reviewer mentioned. I'm hoping a different type of coarse salt will do the trick because I do think they're nice.

I guess we're not supposed to use salt anyway...
Very nice looking, though the salt mill no longer grinds salt to a desirable consistency, but instead pulverizes it to such a fine powder, it's essentially unusable. We've used several different sizes and types of salt, and have had the same problem. The pepper grinder is great though.

nice
i agree with the other reviewers regarding the 'leaking' of salt and pepper grains. i solve this by keeping them on a little dish on the dining room table, and brushing off the salt and pepper crumbs every so often. other than that, these are a rather nice product. freshly ground salt and pepper beat pre-ground any day, and the containers are table-worthy.

Works with spice rack
The same diameter as standard spice bottles, this pair sits neatly in my spice rack convenient to the stove for fresh grinding while I cook.

Simple style and easy to use.
They are attractive and will fit in with any style. I like the size, not too big and they are easy to refill. The only complaint is that the salt and pepper mills leak grains when not in use so they may not be the best choice for entertaining.

Great for the table
I love this set of salt and pepper as well as the large version. These look nice on the table and are easy to use!! I would highly recommend everybody get a set of these!

Aesthetically nice, but...
My husband and I registered for these. They look nice, aren't too large, and are easy to use. Even so, the downfall is that the salt and pepper mills leave small grains all over. There isn't a way to catch excess grains from falling onto the table and making a mess. Currently, we keep them in a plastic container...not cute when entertaining. I recommend getting the stainless and glass mills instead! Nice looking and efficient!

Good Style
The style on these are good and they work pretty well, but salt and pepper leaks out of the grinder when not in use and makes little puddles.

Like the look, but....
Love the way these look. They were great to use when we first got them, but after a few months, the salt mill got clogged and now won't grind salt very quickly (and yes, we use coarse, dry salt!) Still use them, but will be looking at another pair if they ever break and/or we get tired of them.

Biscayne Salt and Pepper Mill
This is an attractive pair that compliments our style and I am sure many others-its quite versatile!
I was hoping that the canisters would be glass and not acrylic and that the tops be a little thicker.
