grinds well
Haven't had any issues with the salt mill but i posted this about the pepper mill:" be careful to make sure the bottom is screwed on well! Went to pick it up once and all of the pepercorns spilled out all over the floor and made quite a mess.."

Nice product
These mills are excellent. I needed one no more than 5.5 incnhes tall and this is perfect. Adjustment is good and dispenses from the top so doesn't leave salt or pepper where it sits in the kitchen. Love em!!.

Great Product
The salt and pepper grinders are really nice. They are easy to clean, adjust to different coarseness, and have lasted for 18 months without any sign of degrading. I have gone through several sets of other brands in no time at all, so I would highly recommend these.

I heart salt ... and this mill
A good salt shaker, in my mind, is one that dispenses the blessed spice in copious quantities. I love this salt grinder because, with it, I can sprinkle two granules or two cups with the same ease. The coarseness settings are nice, and coarsest is good, but it would be great if the finest setting was super, super fine. As it is, there are still a few crunchy chunks of salt even at the finest setting.

We bought both this salt and pepper shakers, we love them. very useful and stylish design. We like that you can choose the degree of grind for the salt and pepper. I use it everyday when im cooking :)

OXO Rocks But here is a tip
I have had the salt and pepper grinder for over a year, and I like them a lot, BUT i did experience the bottom coming loose and salt all over the counter. Here is my tip - affix a small piece of black electrical tape to to the bottom of the grinders. It blends right in and is easily repositionable when you need to open them. Don't wait till your breaks, do it right away so you will not have any future problems.

good value pepper mill
the pepper mill is ok, the size and ease of filling and grinding is good the only fault I have with it is the size of the grind. It leaves too large of grind in the finest setting unless you really like chunky pepper

Great product
I like many OXO products and this one is no exception. Really like how it looks and performs. Especially like how both the salt and pepper comes from the top - so none spills out when you don't want it to!

Watch the bottom stopper!
Twice my cooking has been ruined when the bottom stopper came undone and a massive amount of peppercorns landed in the food.
I can't believe this hasn't been a problem for more users. The stopper accidently unscrews while just using the grinder. Such a obvious flaw for a line that usually designs great products!

Happy with Purchase
Bought as gift and am extremely pleased with look and functionality of the grinders. The coarse settings may be a little loose at times, but the salt and pepper come out evenly with every grind. Good buy!!

No Luck!!
I have been trying to find a good pepper mill for ages. Oxo has never let me down before. Mine must be defective. The second time I used it the peppercorns exploded into the Christmas dinner turkey gravy I was preparing! It happened again 2 days later. I also found the grind to be course regardless of the setting. Will exchange and try again.

Great product
This set is so attractive. The grinding adjustment is simple and easy to change. The grinding surface is on the top so that the salt and pepper is ground from the top. No more "crumbs" on the table or counter. Definately a great purchase.

Happy at last!
Years ago, my parents found small Oxo salt and pepper grinders in a kitchen gadget kit they bought for the cabin. They loved them and wanted another set for daily use at home, but another set was no where to be found, and all the others they had purchased were disappointing. When I found these at C&B I was very excited and bought them for a Christmas gift. My parents were thrilled! They perform even better than their other Oxo set. The grind settings are easy to adjust and clear to read, and you can rest them on the counter top to refill instead of having to hold in one hand and pour with the other.
My fiance was so jealous of the set, he wanted to go out and buy the set the next day. Instead, we put them on our registry. I just received them for my shower and they are wonderful! The fiance had a huge smile on his face when I came home with them. I highly recommend!

Total Waste of Money
The second time I used the pepper mill the bottom fell out and I lost 50% of the contents all over my range. It happened again losing the remaining contants. There is a small threaded opening to refill and I thought the threads were bad until the bottom fell out of the salt mill. The openings will not stay closed!

It's no grind to use these mills!
These pepper and salt mills are a wonderful addition to my kitchen. Just like all the other Oxo products they are smart and dependable. I have had other pepper mills that never consistently grind your favorite coarseness of pepper. This grinder is always perfect and easy to use. It is easy to fill and keeps the salt and pepper in the grinders and on the food, not on the table!

Great & simple design
Simple, sleek and well designed. Easy to use, functions beautifully and looks great. Large & clear spice holder, so is easy to see when a refill is needed, but it holds a good amount so it requires infrequent refills. Its simple lines and good materials also makes it easy to keep clean. Offers all that is important to have in a good mill at a reasonable price.

Love it!
One of the things we definitely were looking forward to on our wedding registry, and we are not disappointed! You can adjust the coarseness easily, which is great depending on what you are eating and your personal preferences! It's neat, clean, and easy to use - once you get used to the top/bottom set up. Also - it looks great in the kitchen! I love how the salt and pepper are separate!
