High quality, fine mesh fabric, nicer than similar products at other stores. Pretty almost metallic sheen to the fabric. Easy to operate.

very useful
This is a great food tent. It opens like an umbrella so it stores easily at home or on vacation. I will definitely be taking this to the beach house this summer. The fabric is lightweight and the overall size is large and will fit over any normal size serving plate.

great for flies, handy in the kitchen
The first one I tried didn't stand right, but Crate & Barrel's amazing customer service sent me a replacement, and the new one works great. I use it in the kitchen. I bought it after I left bread dough to rise and came back to find that a tiny fly had found its way into my kitchen and under the tea towel and had stuck itself onto the dough. It was so gross I couldn't stand to keep any of the dough & threw away the whole dough ball. This tent makes me feel better about leaving bread dough to rise or decorated cookies to dry. The fabric on the sides doesn't reach completely to the bottom, so if you're using it outdoors, it might not keep out small crawling bugs like ants. Four stars instead of five because it would be great if some weights could be sewn into the edge of the fabric to help people using it outdoors, or if it could have a bottom attached with a zippered opening on the side so food could be placed inside & be completely protected. Either of these would also help keep it down if it's being used outside on a windy day. Other than that, it's great. I don't see how any flies could find a way inside of it.
