I've owned two of these now and the only thing I can say good about this item is that I have mess of extra wires. the weak link here is the plastic tightening wheel. It takes very little efort to strip the center out of this wheel and the cutter becomes useless. If this was made out of metal it might hold up better. If this design was changed then I would probably give it 5 stars but not the way it is presently designed.

Fell apart quickly
I love OXO products but this one missed the mark. After less than a year of infrenquent use it literally fell apart; the plastic wheel that allows you to adjust the tension on the wire pretty much disintegrated, rendering it useless because there was no way to hold the wire on.

Super handy little tool!
Great for even slices of medium cheese (works on softer cheeses too, but move slow or they may get squished). Love the wider handle for easy gripping...OXO is a wonderful brand.
