Does the job
I've had this trashcan for ages now. I actually have it in the grey color. It fits nicely in a tight space, and I am sure the locking mechanism must come in handy for those that have pets that get into the trash. Wipes down easily, but the trash bag is not hidden like other simple human cans.

Kickin' can!
This can is the bees knees. Totally rocks my world. It looks neat, fits perfectly with a 13 gallon el cheap bag (recycle or white) so that the bag never shows and always fits perfectly.

Extremely Pleased!
Reading reviews help in my decision to try products. I am extremely pleased with the purchase of this step trash-can! The lid was easy to attach. The 13 gal. tall kitchen bag fits perfectly. The lid closes quietly every single time. The step peddle works perfectly. I love the wheels & the ability to leave lid open when necessary. I highly recommend!

great garbage can
Love this garbage can, well worth the $. The lock keeps dogs and kids of garbage. We have two big dogs who love to get into the garbage. This is the only can that has kept them out! It's super easy to clean up and doesn't show finger prints the way stainless does! love it! would buy again!

Best purchase ever!!!
Love the great construction of this product. The lid shuts quietly, i can feel that this trash can is going to last a lifetime. Also love the wheels on it. AWESOME!!! ; )

Great for Recycling
I bought these trash cans after my family moved to Germany where we are required to recycle. It was difficult getting my husband to separate everything out and he would just end up throwing everything in the rebish container. I bought all three colors and cup them in our pantry (they are the perfect size to fit under the bottom shelf). It's been so easy to get everything separated out and taken to the correct bins now. Even my 4 year old son doesn't have a problem getting into the recycling spirit. These cans are truly well made and the locking feature is great for when you're trying to keep out dog s and kids. This is a great product and I highly recommend it, it is definetly worth the cost!

AWESOMENESS
Who would have thought I'd be writing a review about a garbage can? This piece really updates my kitchen and goes perfectly with my stainless steel fridge. Love the locking feature on top also.
I'm beginning to love everything simplehuman is making these days.

Sleek and sturdy
I think that this slimline can does the job. I highly recommend it.
The only problem I had was snapping on the top. Had a stronger person do it for me.
I am believing for money and free shipping to purchase the other two cans, one for my trash and one for recycling. Very nice.

LIkes to move around
My boyfriend and I got this trashcan recently and so far we like it. The lid opens very tall, so it can't go under something low. Also, we've found that this trashcan has a tendency to wander in the kitchen - the wheels really make it move around, so sometimes we find ourselves saying "where's the trashcan?" because we've been sliding it around. I'd buy it again, it is nice and sturdy.

simplehuman slim step trash can
I am so pleased with the purchase of this slim trash can. I have looked for years to find a trash can that has a step to open, slow closing lid, lock and the slim feature. Its also easy to empty and does not take special liners. For my husband to mention he likes this one is really an added plus. Delivery was so fast, I had my purchase within two business days. As always I am very impressed with ordering from Crate and Barrel. It will continue to be my first choice when ordering items for our two homes.

Very Sleek...Nice look!
I love the slimness of these bins, yet the capacity they hold is amazing! The colors are great! I purchased the black and the gray. I love the way that the lid gradually closes as you walk away! I found the lid very hard to snap on though. So don't be afraid to really whack it on there. You wont regret buying these.

Great Product for the Price
We love our new trash can. It looks sleek but without the cost of one of the expensive metal cans. You can fit just about anything into it, including those hard pizza boxes. The only drawback would be that I wish it was just a little wider in the back where the lid is attached. Over all I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a great inexpensive trash can.

perfect
I bought 2 black cans (one for trash, one for recycling). They are right next to each other but still don't take up much space. They work well, and are made with quality materials (plastic does not feel cheap--and I was glad to find out that the lifting mechanism inside is a metal bar, so that won't break over time). I love that the lid closes slowly after letting go of the pedal. We are expecting a baby soon, so I'm especially glad that the lid locks. Don't worry about the couple of bad reviews--those have got to be defective cans.

Great kitchen trash can
This can fits in a small space, is attractive enough to be seen, and extremely convenient with its foot pedal opening mechanism. It holds enough but can't get too heavy because of its size. This has been a great addition to my kitchen and I love it!

Great Trash Can
Love this trash can. The slim design of the can makes it a great fit in narrow or limited spaces. The step -on feature to open the can is a wonderful as I don't need to touch it with my hands at all. Add to that the slow, noiseless closure... Really one of the best trash cans that I have purchased.

Keeps dog out!
The garbage can works well! Love the locking feature. It keeps my active Cocker Spaniel out of the garbage! Just the right height to fit under my breakfast nook. Solid construction.
