Best Waffle Maker!
My husband and I got this waffle maker for our wedding and we love it! Makes nice crispy waffles with a soft inside. Also like that it makes 4 square ones instead of one giant round one!

A wonderful waffle maker!
The Calphalon Waffle Maker is a fantastic machine! I am really pleased with it. Waffles are hot and ready to eat almost instantly! It really is amazing. Easy to clean too.

Love it, love it, love it!
We make waffles all the time and this is by far the best waffle iron I have ever owned. It heats quickly, it requires no oil/ spray and cooks the perfect waffle every time!

Best Wedding Gift

Great gift
I bought this for at least 3 of my friends who were getting married. They were all thrilled with it. Use it almost every weekend, and always remind me of how they think of me when they make delicious Belgian waffles. I think it is such a memorable gift and one that is both classy and different.

Makes me love Saturday mornings!
I LOVE this waffle maker. It is so easy to use, easy to store (I lock it and store it on one of the skinny sides), and easy to clean. It always cooks my waffles perfectly, no matter how I'm experimenting with the batter recipe. So easy to use, we make waffles once a week and keep leftovers in the freezer for quick weekday breakfasts!

Makes large sqare waffle.
This waffle maker looks pretty and can make a good waffle. However, takes some practice getting a good waffle and turns into a huge mess if you overfill or forget to oil it first.

Awesome!!
This is one awesome waffle maker. It's easy to use, attractive looking, and easy to clean. It heats up quickly, dings when it's hot, and then alerts you to when the waffles are ready. No peeking required! I had an inexpensive waffle maker before, and thought it was okay. After using this one though, I'll never be able to go back. Do yourself a favor and pick one up!

Makes awesome waffles!
As another user has mentioned, the Calphalon recommended 2-cups of batter is a little much, 1.75 cups should be about right.
No-peek indicator works well.

Perfect waffles with almost no mess
This waffle maker is great. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could.
The waffles come out nearly perfect every time and never stick. The only clean up I've had to do were because I used too much batter and had to wipe up spills.
My reason for not giving it 5 stars is that the plastic bits (nothing major) are cheap and easily cracked or broken. It doesn't interfere with the waffles but for the price, I expected sturdier construction.

Malfunctioned after one use
This seems to be a very well built
appliance. However, one of the main
features is a "No Peek Progress
Indicator" that is supposed to let you
know when the waffles are done.
This feature worked the first time it
was used -- but never again. It really
does make excellent waffles, but

Easy to use
I used this waffle maker on Friday night. It was fun! I love how quickly it heats up and that it has a progress indicator that lights up. I agree that knowing how much batter to use is a work in progress. I found that the first batch made perfectly shaped waffles and round two is when I seemed to run out of batter. I think next time I will try making just two waffles at a time to make sure grate gets covered properly. I also like the bell that dings when everything is heated correctly or finished cooking. One downside is taking them out. while they do not stick as promised I found using a non metal tool to remove them was a bit difficult. Also not sure if it is neccessary to re preheat between batches.

Awesome waffle maker!
I just purchased this waffle maker after receiving a different waffle maker I had registered for at another store. That waffle maker was a dud, and I'm so glad I returned it and purchased this one instead! The darkness indicator works very well and I love that you don't have to "peek" to see if your waffles are ready. I also like that it beeps when it's ready so you don't forget about your waffles! The appliance has a nice heft to it and seems to be very nice quality. It can be stored both flat or upright, which is a nice bonus!

WOW!
WOW! is all I really need to say about this waffle maker. We had a round one prior to this one and it took forever to heat up. This is definatley the waffle maker you want to purchase. They come out within minutes and you can make them nice and crunchy if you'd like. Awesome! Every kitchen must have one of these... the kids LOVE IT!!!

One of our favorite wedding gifts so far!
We love making brunch together on the weekends and our new waffle maker allows us to make a delicious breakfast for ourselves or company at home with no fuss and no mess. The progress indicator is right on target and allows you to make perfectly cooked golden waffles without ever checking them. Waffles cook evenly and very quickly. Even better, cleanup is a breeze - the waffle maker does not require use of oil or cooking spray, and even without using them, absolutely NOTHING sticks. Upon removing your waffle from the machine, it looks as though it was never even used!
One word of warning: Calphalon's instructions say to use about two cups of waffle batter per batch. We followed those instructions the first time and found that 2 cups was too much - it dripped quite a bit.
