The Story

Champion pitmaster Charlie McKenna of Chicago's Lillie's Q restaurants is the mind behind this unique dry rub with a versatile flavor profile that sparks a range of rubbed or marinated foods from beef, pork and poultry or seasons fries and veggies. The savory, spicy blend spiked with jalapeños can be rubbed on foods in advance (from 15 minutes to 24 hours before), or mixed with apple juice, beer or other liquids for a zesty marinade.

Lillies Q Carolina Dirt Rub is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for pork Overall, a really good commercially produced Carolina rub. Goes great with any kind of pork (ribs, shoulder, loin, etc.). Salt content is a little higher than other rubs I have used in the past, which tends to overpower thinner cuts of meat when applied liberally as the directions suggest. But the flavor is great. I would recommend giving it a try.
