The Story

Designers Manish and Madhulika Tibrewal of Rasa adopt a folk-art focus in pure wool, patching traditional geometries in shades of green, yellow and blue across a blood orange backdrop. Crafted of pure wool, this rug will occasionally shed, especially during the first few months, which is easily managed with regular vacuuming.

Order rugs (up to 6'x9') on-line and pickup in a store near you. It's fast, easy and free. Choose the Store Pickup option at Check Out. Learn More.

For 8'x10' and larger rugs, an associate can arrange a convenient warehouse pick-up or delivery.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful rug, but beware of shedding I bought this rug a few months ago to replace our old area rug. I really love the warm colors and design of this rug. It gives a nice splash of color and makes the room feel more cozy. My issues with this rug is that it sheds quite a bit and bit troublesome to clean. I live in duplex townhouse with first floor with wooden floor, and ivory carpet on stair well and on the second floor. You can see the orange-red wool fibers from the carpet gathered up on the stairs and all the way up to the second floor. So I find myself getting really annoyed at looking at red wool fibers stuck in small corners on ivory carpet where it's difficult to clean. In the care instruction of the carpet, it says to not to use brush function on the vacuum when vacuuming the area rug. However, I find that if I don't use the brush function, then carpet doesn't seem to get clean really well (I have Dyson animal, so it's not a matter of having a poor vacuum cleaner). Then, I start to notice some white fibers coming loose, so I'm a bit at loss as to what to do to keep the area rug clean. Anyway, besides than these cleaning issues, I do love the design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes the room POP! I wanted something spectacular for when you walked into my house, something that made a statement and this rug does! I even got a glass table so that you could still see it underneath. I've used yellow as my linking color to pillows, etc and it works. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Folkloric Flavor I bought the 5 x 8 version of this lovely rug. It adds a pop of color and interest to my otherwise neutral living room space. The pattern is predominantly a deep red color with accents of gold and green. The playful mix of patterns reminds me of Alexander Girard's design work from the mid century modern era.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I bought this rug and December, and it transformed my room. The colors are vibrant yet not obnoxious; the picture online doesn't really do it justice. I went to the store to look at another rug, and when I saw this in person, I loved it. From the picture online, I hadn't even considered this one; it looked like an orange flag. In person, it doesn't look like a flag at all. I bought the thick pad to go under it, and it's so great and cushy to walk on, sit on, and lay on to watch tv. Everyone loves it, and I am so happy with it. It's the best purchase I've made in a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vivid colors! We've had this rug for several months now and it still looks as great as when we bought it. The colors are vivid and bright. It provides a good contrast to our dining room furniture.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the colors of my Lulu Rug I'm very happy with my choice in rugs. The picture does not do it justice. Fun, geometric design really brightens up the room. Although it states "orange" ... the color is more burnt red. I saw it hanging in a store, so bought with confidence.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Duper Rug! Excellent 100% wool, bright colors, feels cushy under my feet and the abstract pattern makes me happy! This rug is made very well and is indicative of the great quality I associate with Crate & Barrel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from possibly not for young kids & pets We (a retired couple with no kids) have had this rug a couple of months and I love it... with one exception that I think is worth knowing about. It can't be "spot cleaned" should you spill something on it. Our cat threw up on it and I took a damp cloth (with only water on it) and gently blotted at the spot, followed by a dry cloth and vacuuming. The color faded from that area! Fortunately I had been very gentle and although the faded area shows, it's probably only us who would notice it. But obviously the dye in this wool is not stable. It wasn't just the orange that faded (reds are a less stable dye color) but the color came out of the green as well. I certainly won't be letting my grandkids eat on the rug. I'll be avoiding anything that requires something to be cleaned up off of it. I had been concerned about the rug shedding since the one in the store had obvious shedding issues. But in our house it doesn't get much traffic and shedding hasn't been a problem. I use the highest setting on my vacuum as they suggest and it's fine. I have noticed some loose fibers around the edges already, pulled loose by the beater bars. The design portion of the rug is created with "loops" within "cut" fibers (the orange). Some of those loops have gotten pulled up ... again by the cat whose claws catch on them... the only fix is to try and stuff the loops back down or cut them off since they end up looking like loose threads lying on the rug.I think this rug is gorgeous and am happy we bought it. I would only recommend it to people with low usage for the above reasons. I would not recommend it to people with kids... and possibly not for pets either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes the room come alive! FIRST, let me say to take advantage of being able (for $10) to "rent" 12" square samples of rugs. I was debating between 2, heavily leaning toward the more simple, and completely changed my mind after getting the two samples home. This rug really adds life to my room, it took 15 years off the look of the room instantly... AND it works great with classic furniture... so you don't need to have a totally contemporary room to get this style. It's dense and comfortable (I bought the pad).
