The Story

Multistep glazing and firing process invests Marbury's vintage-inspired shapes with a fresh, handcrafted look. Each earthenware piece is dipped in a black-stained clay slip that gets absorbed into the unfired clay body to create a colored surface. Pieces are then dipped into a translucent white glaze, which must be stirred with each dipping to ensure its transparency, to allow the underlying black to show through and accentuate the rims and saucer-like shaping. Marbury dinnerware also available.

Marbury Small Oval Platter is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Organic and Elegant! Impresive design and functionality for our busy family.Remodeled the kitchen with glass front cabinets, and.. Wow! I cannot begin to tell you how fabulous the Marbury dinnerware looks. The rim on each piece, when stacked is the uncluttered, but elegant look I wanted. The design is perfect on the table, in & out of the dishwasher, or stacked in my new glass front cabinets.
