Rated 2 out of 5 by from Heavy and expensive Maybe this is a great pan in the right hands. Or maybe it's just not a great pan. Dough stuck really badly, but I'm willing to believe it was my own fault for not getting the pan hot enough before laying in the dough. In any case, it seems like one of those expensive, single-purpose kitchen tools that spends its whole life in storage because it's not useful enough to keep handy and too heavy to use readily. If you make a lot of pizza, it may be worth the investment (and potential wrist sprain), but other than that I think it's a waste of money.

Quickly I found many other ways to use this to make food other than pizza! I've make crepes, pancakes, grilled cheese, etc. -- yet to try meat but planning to. It has quickly become the most favorite item in my kitchen, and use it minimum once a week. My mom came over and enjoyed it so much I ended up purchasing one for her -- she loves it as much as I do.Overall: great quality, very versatile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crepe lovers - must buy! I bought this pan mainly for making Dosas (Indian crepes) and they come out nice and crispy. Would have preferred a smaller size pan (an inch or two smaller) so it would have been easy to handle. Maintenance is easy too. I keep it seasoned with oil after each use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific pizza pan I love this pizza pan.  I typically put it in the oven for 20 minutes on high heat (around 475) and then when I put the pizza in I switch the heat to broil. The pizza cooks in less than 10 minutes and the crust is always perfect. Highly recommend. Get the Epicurian pizza peel too, they work great in combination!

After trying many varieties of pizza pans, with displeasure each time, I finally found the best one!!The Mario Batali pizza pan is excellent in every way.It makes the very best crust as well as a wonderful composed pizza.The crust is perfectly browned and crisp!And, to "top" it off, it cleans beautifully with little or no effort!BUON APPETITO!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Crepe/Pancake Pan Best pan ever you will get........I recently bought a electric glass cooktop. The manual says that I have to use a enameled cast iron pan and not the regular cast iron. Since we make crepes/pancakes (A south indian dosa) very often, I wanted to splurge on this pizza pan which double as pancake pan. I can promise that you will get a nice golden crepe using this cast iron pan just like we get in restaurants. Just make sure you stick to the size of your heating element when making this crepes to get it evenly cooked. Go ahead and buy it. You won't regret.I haven't yet put it into use for making pizza...will get into it soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful results! This pan is the answer to a lot of artisan bread and flat bread problems. Results are fantastic with this pan. Heavy, yes but the handles are perfectly suited for a pan of this generous diameter. If you bake often and have gone through several baking stones, you should get one of these Mario Batali cast iron pans. I love it.
