Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love look, but not functional with matching rings We got this rod a couple months ago and it was easy to install and looks great but as others have mentioned, with the matching rings, the rings get stuck where the pole telescopes. We are short and I can't close curtains without a ladder. If I try without a ladder, the curtains come off the rings. Might be more of an issue with the rings, which have squared edges. I haven't yet tried the solution someone suggested (gluing a cut up tape measure where the rod extends). Pretty but very frustrating. We have a new baby so I want to close my curtains!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality! I purchased this curtain rod for an 8 foot window in our master bedroom. I also purchased the rings. Besides being absolutely gorgeous, it was a cinch to install and it spanned the width of the window perfectly. It is a very sturdy product. I love it and would purchase again without hesitation. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to install Love the way this looks in my house, understated and contemporary. Easy to install, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Elegant! We just installed our curtain rod about 2 weeks ago and this is perfect! We have a window area that is over 11', our rod is mounted about 13' wide so that the curtains can stack off of the window. I really like the 1 1/4" rod size, it makes it look more substantial. The mounting brackets are nice also. Easy for my husband to install. Great price for such a nice product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Warning - no additional brackets available. The rods are beautiful but beware that if you have them at their full length, they can bow in the middle. With this length, four brackets would be ideal. Unfortunately, only 3 brackets are offered in the set and they will not sell you an additional bracket. Because of this, I have to return this item. I am severely disappointed that Crate and Barrel doesn't offer parts for the items they sell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy, simple, perfect I bought this to cover a long span in our dining room. The rod is sturdy and doesn't sag, which was one of our concerns. The brackets are easy to install. And the main reason I chose this one was the lack of fancy finials -- I wanted the rod to go all the way to the end so the curtains could. We love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good looking curtain rod, one minor annoyance. We love this rod. Nice clean, modern look to it. We have two particularly wide windows together in our bedroom, so we were relieved to find a rod that would span the entire width. Mounting was pretty straightforward. Just make sure you use a level. It's a simple design. So why 4-stars? We have large grommet curtains, so the holes are huge. Yet the joint where the bar extension on either end meets the center section doesn't have a well-engineered gasket. So, frustratingly, the curtains don't slide over this joint well at all. You really have to monkey with the curtain to get it over this hump. We have shower curtain rods with a similar joint, but they made the gasket much better and bigger with more taper to it so that the curtain rings slide over no problem. Wish this curtain rod had the same.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very sturdy and sleek design I bought this for my living room picture window. Finding one long enough had been difficult. The design is perfect and was very easy to install. It looks great and goes very well with the Round curtain clips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice and long I bought this to use on my deck as an outside curtain rod. I love it. It is the length that I searched for and had a hard time finding. Just wish that extra brackets were available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful modern design! If you want something modern to decorate your house, these rods are just perfect! I bought two of the smaller size to use at the living room windows, and a long one that goes along another window and a sliding door. They are very easy to set up and they look awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the style! I bought this curtain rod (and the same one in a smaller size) for our modern home and I love the look! Also, they were easy to hang and look great! I was worried that I would need another bracket because our window is huge but it worked out fine!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice clean lines The clean lines of this curtain rod make it perfect for a modern look. It was fairly easy to mount. The brackets are a bit flimsy, but as long as no one tugs on the curtain too hard, I expect it will hold up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Extra Long Rod Set Overall, this product has worked out well for me. It arrived as expected, there were no missing pieces, was easy to install, and is nice and solid. My only issue is that the grommets of the curtain panel catch on the rod, making it more difficult than I would prefer to open and close the panels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great! I have a giant window at the front of my house and this was one of the only curtain rods I could find that was both contemporary and extended long enough. It was easy to install, is surprisingly sturdy for the length, looks great, and all at a reasonable price!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great rods but needs a tweak I love these rods. The finish and design are great. I purchased a set for my office and liked them so much, I ordered three sets for my bedroom. What I didn't realize, and what other people have commented on, is that if you are actually going to open and close the curtains, the bump that is created by the expansion rod makes it really difficult for the rings to slide over the rod to close the drapes. After wresting with my drapes for a few weeks, I ended up finding a solution on the Internet. I cut a 14 inch section from a 1/2 inch metal measuring tape and secured it to the top of the rod with double sided tape on the side where the extension "bump" is located. The rings slide easily over the metal "bridge" and it's really easy to open and close the drapes now. You can't see the strip from the ground. I wish Crate and Barrel would include something like this with all of their extension rods! Overall a very good product with that one issue.
