Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love it except... Love the style but there are two features that are not clearly shown in the photos that are making me unhappy. 1) The shade has wire supports that cast prominent shadows that are about 3 inches long every 120 degrees. So you can't really rotate the shade so as to hide these shadows when lit. There is one photo where the lamp is lit that you can almost see one shadow right in the front, but it is barely visible--that was probably photoshopped out. The shadows are very noticeable and ruin the beauty of the lamp. Poor design! 2) Some of the photos show the shade installed upside down so that the stem just below the bulb is not visible--but the bulb then sticks out above the top of the shade--which is not shown in the photos--so they either removed the bulb or photoshopped it out. With the shade the other way, the bulb is hidden, but then that stem is visible (like in several of the photos--which looks ok, but not as good as when I can't see the stem, in my opinion.) The finish looks great to me and the patina is very uniform--a slightly aged brass--not glossy. In short, a good deal for a stylish lamp for the price, but I wish they had designed the shade mounting better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Midcentury but classic We love this lamp. The style is unmistakably midcentury without being to cliche or kitsch. It's height provides elegance and the coloring of the base and the shade are rich. You won't be disappointed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Bought this last week and I love it. It's tall and well proportioned. Looks great on the side table as a large but not overbearing feature. Only wish is that the switch was the button switch like so many other crate and barrel lamps. Not so much a fan of the old school dial.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's just beautiful!! I made it very clear to my friends that I I loved loved loved this lamp... and they are such wonderful people that they got it for me for my birthday:) I am so very happy to own it...it is stunning! It stands tall... it is a "buffet lamp"... meant for a buffet/sideboard or console table, which is what I have it on. I did wish the on off switch where on the top initially but now I am so used to it... it doesn't bother me. It has a sophisticated shape, and it really adds interest to the table.... and the room in general. It's a timeless piece I will enjoy it for years to come.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Looks awesome! This lamp looks great on my sofa table between the living and dining room. It does require a low profile bulb, but comes equipped with one. It's a narrow base with a larger shade so I wouldn't place it where small children could pull in down. I'm not bothered by the switch bring on the cord, I like it there.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Timeless & simple I've had this lamp for about 6 months and I loved it when I saw it online and when I received it! I think it's the perfect example of simplicity because it's not showy and it's very classic and simple. It is tall for table lamp but it suits my low side table. I love the golden/brass which has weathered to give a unique vintage look. It was a bit bothersome to get used to the light switch, which is half way down the cord, but after you are used to is, it's not a big deal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from If you like midcentury style... I purchased this lamp 3 months ago and I am very pleased with the style and presence it gives my living room. I had to purchase it sight unseen because the store did not had a floor model. I never do this, but I fell in love with it from the catalog. The color is a bit darker bronze than the photographs show, but that worked to my benefit. I was disappointed that it took 3 weeks to get because it was back ordered but I have it now so I am happy. The only real criticism I have is that the on-off switch is on the cord, about 2 feet from the base of the lamp so I have to fish between the table and the couch to turn it on and off. I would much prefer the switch to be at the top where the harp and base meet, but I will live with it. I still admire it enough that I plan to buy another one.
