The Story

Our seriously stylish Orb julep strainer recalls the decadence and nostalgia of vintage cocktail culture to elevate the home bar. Aaron Probyn's beautiful, functional designs coordinate in an artistic, unexpected mix of metals. Round disk sports just enough holes to keep mint, ice or cocktail fruit at bay. Just fit the julep strainer over a shaker or glass and pour for clear, cold libations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good quality I had bought the orb shaker and realized I needed the strainer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Designed by a furniture designer... duh. I am a mixologist with 17 years experience. I am always looking for cool, new tools to play with and thought that Aaron's Orb line of cocktail tools were worth a shot. Unfortunately, I did not read his bio prior to buying the products. He is a furniture designer and this is what happens when someone with no bar experience designs bar tools. The julep strainers are too large in diameter. So they will not fit in a mixing glass, which is what they are supposed to be used with. I don't understand how you overlook something like this. They are essentially useless tools. I admire him for his desire to make unique designs, but next time consult a barman.
