Beautiful Basque Piece!!
My husband and I have been shopping around for quite some time to find a media console to place our new flat screen TV on (52"). We were very excited upon finding this piece at our local Crate & Barrel store. The qualities that sold us on this Basque console were the attention to every detail, the fact that it's solid and heavy, and also the entire piece is constructed of real wood. For the price, you can't really find good quality furniture like this at other stores, unless of course they are made of synthetic wood, which in many cases the prices are still high. Overall, we are extremely pleased with yet another purchase from Crate & Barrel, and I'm certain that you will be happy with this item as well!! :-) (Note: We didn't experience any difficulty storing our media equipment on the shelves. They were plenty deep for our DVR / DVD / VCR / gaming stuff.)

Beautiful piece
We love this console (we use it as a bookcase and accent piece rather than a media console) and get complements on it from almost everyone that walks into our room. Great quality wood, and a beautiful color.

Wonderful piece! Adds warmth to a room
The piece really adds warmth to our large living room. The dark wood and rustic character are exactly my style. Like others, my one complaint is the depth. It does not fit the disc changer for my old stereo but the receiver fits fine. I paired this with the Taka chest (discontinued???) and the Basque console table.

Functional and Fashionable
We were very happy with this purchase. It is a striking piece of furniture and it amazingly holds all our of electronics. It's also extremely easy to keep clean (soft rag for dusting is all it needs).

Handsome and Sturdy
This piece is the perfect foil for our new plasma TV. The dark mango wood's unique grains lend it a rustic yet timeless character. It has ample space for all our DVDs and gaming equipment.

Fabulous entertainment unit
I love the variation in the wood as well as the contemporary lines of this great piece. I recommended it to a friend who had been looking for an entertainment unit for a long time and she ended up purchasing it as well.

Nice Piece But Not Perfect
When I saw this media console, I thought it would be perfect, as I have the matching buffet/hutch and they would compliment each other well. Unfortunately, upon placing my media items in the middle part of the cabinet, I found that the door would not shut. The reason for this is due to there not being ample space for cords in the back. Most tuners (which are the core piece of a media set) are all pretty much the same size. With all of the cords that have to plug into the back of the tuner, it makes it so the device sits too far forward and the door will not shut. The only solution is to have a larger whole cut into the back but I have yet to do this. I certainly do not want to ruin the cabinet. For now, the door just sits open which looks pretty ridiculous, but there is not another option at this time.

Great purchase
This was a great purchase. I love the green aspects of the product as well. I only gave it 4 stars because we did not care for the knobs. We repaced the knobs with some round dark gray knobs and it is perfect now.

beautiful
Really looks good in person, I really like the oil finish and the rich tones of the wood. The only complaint I have is that it is not quite deep enough for our stereo equipment, but it does fit all of our tv stuff nicely.

Great Looking!
A great piece of furniture! More interesting than a plain tv stand...interesting wood and color. Very well made, looks great in our living room. Also, has a decent amount of storage for DVDs, etc!

Great Buy!
Beautiful piece! Note that the wood colors vary slightly from image online and from piece to piece. Measure carefully to make sure your electronics fit inside the closed cabinet doors.

Absolutely beautiful
We bought this console for our cabin in Flagstaff to hold our TV.. It is so beautiful and well made. Really a stand out piece of furniture. Now I'll have to wait for our dining room set to wear out so I can add more of the Basque pieces!!

Great piece of furniture
We purchased this console table to use and a buffet in our dining room. We put wine bottles in the center section for visual interest. We will have this piece for many, many years to come. Great purchase!

Beautiful Piece
We purchased the Basque set for our new home. We wanted a solid wood set with a contemporary flare. Basque is a rugged yet contemporary piece that adds a great deal of interest to any space. We are using the media console as a buffet (we preferred the glass insert) and it looks incredible in our house. A truly solid piece of furniture that adds character to our home.

Love this piece
We are very happy with our purchase of the media console. It is a great size, the wood is gorgeous, and it is just a really solid, well made piece of furniture. We just went back and bought the side table. I would love a coffee table or high dining table, but this line is a little pricey.
