Surprisingly nice
When I opened the package, I thought, wow, these seem smaller than I thought. I was planning to return them and buy more chili bowls. But I thought I would try them out and see. My family loves them. They actually hold more than you would think. My husband cooks his oatmeal in them and it doesn't overflow in the microwave. Great set of bowls and for an outstanding price!

Great bowls/great size
I got these and was initially disappointed at how small they are. But it turns out they are perfectly sized for most things: yogurt, hot cereal, dessert servings, or soup that's part of a meal. Not good for one pot meals like stews or stir fries -- but most of us probably have plenty of those.

Pretty Bowls
They were smaller than I originally wanted (my fault) but turn out to be a good size for smaller portions. They are very pretty and classic, I love them.

Doesn't get better!
Such excellent bowls! I got these because the bowls that came with our set are just too big, so I picked these up for reasonable portions of cereal, soup, ice cream, etc. Perfect!
The color is a very bright white, and the finish is very smooth. If they had a whole dinnerware set of these, I'd buy them in a heartbeat and ditch our designer ware!

Perfect Bowls!
I was looking for smaller bowls for my kids so they wouldn't be pouring massive bowls of cereal. These bowls are perfect for cereal, soup, snacks! They are the perfect size and hold up well AND the price is amazing.

Just right
Our church ordered a large quanitity of these for our kitchen. They arrived promptly and only one was cracked. This was a manufacturing defect not a shipping damage. They hold up well, are exactly what we were looking for and the help I received from the C&B reps was excellent. I recommend both in everyway

Best Bowls
Perfectly-sized bowls and very useful. We use them for just about anything - to scramble eggs or serve cereal, soup, and ice cream, etc. They're even lovely enough to hold all types of party snacks and dips. Great product!

functional and cute
I only purchased one set of these bowls, and will probably order more at a later date because these bowls come in handy for so many different things. Great for ice cream, cereal, soups,etc.... They are nice and compact, but hold a decent amount of food at the same time. I also like the fact that they are stackable and don't take up a lot of space in the cabinet.

love the shape
These bowls are the perfect size for cereal or ice cream- a nice serving, but not too big. They stack so they do not take up too much room. They feel great in your hand. The packing was wonderful and everything arrived in perfect shape.

Perfect-Sized Bowls
I was looking to add some bowls to my existing cereal bowl collection. I thought these bowls would be a bit bigger than they are. They are about the size of a bowl you would see in a Chinese restaurant for serving the perfect-sized scoop of white rice. After my initial disappointment, I realized that these bowls really are the perfect size for cereal. They help you with portion control, which is a good thing in our super-sized society. So in the end, I love them and would recommend them wholeheartedly.

Love these bowls!!
Bought four of these at the Dallas area outlet. After I used them for the first time, I could have kicked myself for not getting more!! They are the perfect size for soups, stews, or chile. Took a chance today and found them online. . .now I have 10!!

Love Them
These bowls are great. I used them to serve gumbo during my Thanksgiving lunch. They are the perfect size for something that is part of a buffet. They are a little too small for soup as an entree. They held up nicely in the dishwasher and are easy to stack.

Great bowls, perfect portion control
These bowls were smaller than I expected and I was disappointed at first. However, after using them this past week, we found they are actually the perfect size. They allow for you to fill your dish almost to the top and create the perfect portion control. Usually bowls are so big that I have found you end up eating 2-3 servings in one bowl. Not with these! We ate homemade stew, ice cream and cereal in them. They are very cute, seem sturdy and perfect!

Soup Bowls
I bought these bowls to use as soup bowls, and I am sure now that I received them they will be used for many other things. These bowls are the perfect size for a small helping, they are heavy-duty and look great with my other plates from Crate and Barrel. They are a great purchase !!

Better Than I Expected
I was skeptical about ordering these because of the mixed reviews. However, I was thrilled when I received them. I bought them to use for gumbo, as part of my Thanksgiving buffet. They will be perfect for that. (They're too small for soup, if it's the only course.) They will also be great for prepping ingredients for cooking. I bought 30 of them, and they all arrived beautiful and in perfect condition.

Perfect Bowl Set
I purchased 12 of these bowls for a dinner party specifically and to use after. They are the perfect size for chili which I bought them for. They are also great for things like onion soup, individual pot pies and fruit crisps as they can go into the oven. I also love the size for personal cereal, soup and ice cream. I have never been disappointed in a purchase from Crate&Barrel. Thanks for being there....

Cute bowl
I was looking for a cereal bowl and thought these might fit the bill. Online, they look awesome. But when they arrived, they were much smaller than I anticipated, about the size of a bowl for a scoop of rice. However, I kept them because I think Crate & Barrel products are awesome and the bowls were still useful. The website seemed to portray them as bigger, that's all, Still love the bowls. :)
