Awesome!
This bowl/measuring cup is huge! It's make a nice measuring cup and you can mix thing in it. It comes with a nice lid so you can also use it to store things. the measurements are imprinted on the glass which is really nice because I always have a problem with the painted cups wearing off.

sturdy, multi-purpose & nice-looking too!
I already have one of these and am about to buy a second. It's a product made by Anchor Hocking, but it's more reasonably priced here than anywhere else (thanks as always, C&B!). Don't limit your view of this to batter bowls -- it's also a huge measuring cup (8 cups!), a 2-quart microwave-and-store dish, and a pretty bowl you can set out on its own with fruit, crafts, children's toys, ornaments, mail, etc. The lid is high-quality and fits securely if you do want to use it (but obviously don't microwave the lid). I love pouring hot stock into this to cool before storing in the fridge. I've heated cider and cinnamon sticks in it, added a ladle and used it to serve a traditional beverage of the season. It even makes a great pitcher for the quick-cooking method for iced tea (brew double strength, pour into a highly-tempered shock-proof pitcher full of ice, and stir until ice is melted - voila!). I can't think of anything in my kitchen that serves more uses more effectively. Great to have!

Batter bowl with lid
I've been looking for a large glass bowl for a long time and was thrilled to find one here @ Crate and Barrel. It is a great item and am in live with it!
