The Story

No more greasy gravy. This handy tool takes the fat off gravies and sauces with a combination of physics and clever construction. The heat-resistant, perforated lid strains out any solid bits, then fat rises to the top, allowing all the flavor to collect in the pourer base. A stopper keeps fat from entering the spout, and a shield prevents the contents from spilling through the lid while you pour.

No more holding a separate strainer to catch large bits from going into the juices to be strained, no more greasy slippery handle to hold on to(thank you OXO), and the stopper works like a charm to keep fat out of the spout. Hurry, Thanksgiving is coming!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Item for Making Gravy I bought this product a few years ago and find it essential for making gravy. After a roast is done I deglaze the pan and use this to separate the fat. From there it's as simple as making a roux of butter and flour, then wisking in the natural juices.I'll also use it to melt butter and separate the fat for making a hollandase sauce.

While pouring liquid from the bottom, if you tilt them ever so slightly forward, the grease comes spilling over the top. What a simple but brilliant solution....block the fat with the lid. Kudos!
