OXO ® Steel Garlic Press is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from works well but... I have had this garlic press for about a month now, and I'm mostly happy with it. It works well, and is easy to use and easy to clean. What I don't like is that the handles fill with water in the dishwasher, then leak when taken out and laid flat. Also, inside the hopper is starting to corrode. I don't know if these two things are a fluke with the press I bought, or if this happens with all Oxo garlic presses. I'm going to return it and try a new one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works very well I have been using this garlic press for a year or so. I bought it in the store after my old cheap garlic press broke. I bought another cheap press, and it did not work at all, you had to apply inhuman force to press your garlic. Then I bought this press, and I can report that it works great. Pressing garlic is easy. It is very sturdy, and there is no decline in function after a year. My family likes garlic in many dishes, so this garlic press gets a lot of use in my house.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great garlic press I bought this press a month ago and I love it. It does a wonderful job pressing the cloves without much effort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool for the job! After buying the terrific garlic peeler (sleeve-type) I needed a new garlic press. This one works great, the sturdy handles feel so substantial, the hinge works smoothly, and the self-cleaning aspect makes it easy to clean up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very efficient! I splurged on this press due to poor experiences with other garlic crushers and I have not been disappointed. The press completely crushes the garlic to get most of the clove into your dish. It's also extremely easy to clean up. There is no annoying basket like other presses which avoids losing any of the garlic up the sides of the mechanism. Would recommend if you cook with a lot of garlic like we do!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OXO Steel Garlic Press I've owned 5 garlic presses in my many years of cooking and entertaining (2 of which even broke after years of service). I love this one -- it presses well, and the press area is huge and can hold up to 2-3 medium-sized cloves. The cleaning rubberized part makes cleaning the press very easy. I love this press and recommend it highly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A thing of beauty Seriously . This beautiful design. Polished and matte stainless steel. Great weight and ease of action. This makes cooking a breeze when a lot of garlic is needed. You don't have to peel the cloves ! Just squeeze over your bowl or pan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy, Easy to Use, Changed my life Full disclosure, this is the first garlic press I've owned. I used a similar one at a friend's house, and couldn't believe I had spent so many years struggling with chopping garlic into bits. I love using garlic when I cook, and this has saved me time and made my life easier. I find it easy to clean, if you rinse it right away, sometimes it can be more difficult to clean if you wait, as some garlic bits dry up on the device.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sturdy and Sleek After researching different brands of garlic presses, I decided to go with this one and I am happy I did! It is really well made and does the job well. The only complaint I have is that it isn't the easiest tool to clean by hand, but I might try throwing it in the dishwasher like some other reviewers. You get what you pay for- this one is worth the cost.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garlic Press didn't impress I have bought many, many items from Crate and Barrel over the years and was surprised when I had to return this garlic press. It was my first return ever to C & B! It 'smashed' the clove against the grid and did not press it thru all the way. Instead, it flattened the clove and there was much waste. I love C & B and OXO Good Grips items but this was a huge fail.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fresh garlic I use fresh herbs from my garden in my cooking. I was using jarred garlic. What was I thinking? This press makes it easy to crush garlic, no peeling necessary:)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great, hard to clean The press works really well... I press any garlic cloves with ease. The only complaint I have is it's really hard to get the shell out of the press. I typically have to use a pairing knife to scrape out the excess. The black hole cleaner on the other end doesn't do a great job uprooting the excess either. Still a great tool though and faster than chopping it all up.
