The Story

A modern table with a rich history, the Paloma table is the story of timber reclamation from around the world. Paloma's distinctive base features a dynamic stack of precision-cut strips of peroba wood reclaimed from Brazilian homes no longer use. In organic contrast is a solid slab top of ironbark hardwood, recouped from Brisbane's historic Hornibrook Highway Bridge, demolished by the Australian government in 2011. This artful Zen-meets-Prairie Style dining collection displays the beautiful range of dark and honeyed browns and natural graining to be found in these repurposed woods. Seats eight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A statement piece for the dining room A great table that fits a lot of people comfortably. It's beautiful to look at and has great lines and function. The reclaimed wood is beautiful with great textures and colors. A must have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Upgrades the Dining Room We brought this table as a replacement for an older dining room set. The table provides a modern look to our dining rooms and provides for a great dining experience for large parties. The table also brings a lot of compliments from our guests and visitors as the table legs and table surface bring a unique but refined look to our dining area.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great legs with a rough-finished top We bought this table because we loved the legs. It's beautiful. We, however, would have preferred the top to have a smoother finish. It currently has a rough finish, with some cuts and minor stains. This adds a vintage look which some might like (although we don't). But the table was still worth it for it's legs. And we got the Fiji side chairs and a Fiji bench to complement the table. They too look great. However, if you are not tall (approx 5'3" or less), you might find the chair a little short for the table. The bench is fine though (may be because you don't sit all the way back like the chair).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I feel so expansive sitting at this table! Quality is fantastic, workmanship excellent, delivery and customer service were top notch and lacking for nothing. Sitting and looking over this table I seriously imagine finding new vistas to conquer. I am ridiculously pleased with this table!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does not work on carpet! We have hardwood throughout our house, but the dining room has carpet. This rocks like a ship at sea on carpet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Piece of Furniture in our Home The table is modern and stylish and easily the best piece of furniture in our home. I really liked it on-line and wanted to see it in person. Luckily there was a floor piece in the store and the sales person was extremely helpful with details on how to take care of it and also took my information to let me know when it went on sale. I am so glad I bought this table as it not only stands out like a grand show piece but it also makes everything else in my home look elegant. I kept the chairs from my old table and they look perfect with the table. The finish is a little rough with a few dark ink stains, but I don't mind it because it adds to the rustic look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy and Stylish Just arrived over the weekend and couldn't be happier! The table is the perfect size for 10, and can fit 12 in a pinch. I love all the different natural characteristics of the wood, and it is very well made. I'm sure that we will have this piece for years to come - our children may be fighting over who gets it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Piece of Art I fell in love with this table when I first saw it at the C&B store. It is so well made and so elegant. We bought it for our living room for our open layout townhouse. This table is a beautiful addition to our home. We noticed that there are some marks on the wood, but it is made of reclaimed wood, so it is part of the character. It is a great size for party and formal dinning. We really enjoy it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE! We bought this for our dining room with the Lowe Khaki Side Chairs. They look beautiful together and the table is gorgeous. The one thing I don't love about the table is when wiping it down it will occasionally snag the towel or paper towel, the surface is not completely smooth so it causes things to grab when wiping it down. I just wipe side to side instead of with the grain of the wood. In spite of that one minor flaw, I love it and would buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A piece of art! I bought this table nearly three years ago and it really stands the test of time. I have a 4-yr old and it has been through a lot and still looks new. Many guests have commented on how unique it is and we truly feel it is like a piece of art - not just our kitchen table!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so beautiful! I purchased this table last month and LOVE IT! The base is so unique and beautiful and the top has a slightly distressed look which I think will serve us well with our anticpated wear & tear. My husband felt that the top was a different shade than what we saw in the showroom. However, I didn't mind because the description clearly stated that each piece was different. This table is bold, easy to assemble and comfortably sits 10 people. If necessary, you could even have 2 head chairs on each end.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful base of the table I saw this table in two different Crate and Barrel stores and really liked it even though I was warned that it scratched easy. When I received my table, the color of the surface was more of a mahogany than I had expected. The base has more walnut tones. The stain is also very dense and does not show grain at all. I kept the table, but it took a lot of the pleasure out of it for me. Seems "cheap" even though it wasn't.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Interesting piece...but We love the modern zen look of the Paloma collection and bought the Paloma I buffet table last year and love it. We finally decided to buy the Paloma II dining table (for a different room) and were not concerned about the difference between the 2 pieces in stain/finish. I am disappointed with the table top. It has what looks like over 12 accidental cuts (against, not with the grain) that appear to have been stained in an attempt to hide the cut but the stain was too dark or the wood absorbed too much of the color. And it it not random, many of the cuts are in a line, like someone used the table as a work bench while using a knife to cut items on the tabletop. There are also a few small holes (not knots) that appear to have been stained. And wood filler/putty in between the veneer slats is up to 1/8" wide in some places. All of this combined is not acceptable to me. I saw this table in the Chicago North Avenue store and it had a few dark spots, not 18-20.
