Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great Concept - Poor Execution I received this as a wedding gift thinking it was the perfect size for small batches of pasta. Unfortunately it takes forever (20+ minutes) for the water to boil on my gas stovetop. I was able to heat up the same amount of water in my larger Caphalon in less time than with this pot. I wish I could take it back but I just started using it and it's been more than six months since my wedding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Right Size Love this pot it is just the right size for 1 or 2. I had been looking at the 8 qt size but small kitchen limited storage. This boils quickly & cleans easily retains it's shine I don't put it in the cupboard I leave it out love the shine & the shape

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile Pot I love the versatility and elegance of this pot! My favorite use was making hot mulled cider or wine. The cinnamon sticks, cloves, and other whole spices can be easily discarded when removing the strainer piece, leaving your hot beverage ready to serve.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke on second use I got this as a wedding gift for my sister. On her second time using it, the handle broke off/detached. I hate to write the item off completely, but it was disappointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work on induction stove We registered for and received this as a wedding gift. It claimed to work on an induction stove but doesn't. Water would heat in it but only to lukewarm. Disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very versatile! Love the look and functionality of this pot! Bought it for my mom as a gift because it's the perfect size for when cooking for two. I talked about it so much, my husband went back and got one for me for Christmas! Use it all the time for pasta at the cottage where space is limited. No messy colander is a huge plus there! Also LOVE to use it for making stock whether it's from a whole chicken we've baked or a store bought rotisserie chicken. Place the bones, some onion, etc. in the insert with water to cover; simmer and remove the insert and toss everything. Leaves us with flavorful and nutritious broth with virtually no mess. Highly recommend for pasta, soups, veggies.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great size I have used my new pasta pot and was thoroughly pleased! It boiled quickly and was just the right size for the two of us. The only feature of my large pasta pot that I miss is the vent in the lid. I have to be sure to pay attention after I put the pasta in to take the lid off when it comes back to a boil. Great size, great weight, cleans up beautifully!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty, Perfect Pasta Pot This is the perfect pot for pasta unless you're feeding a platoon! Prior to having this pot, I made pasta in a Dutch-Oven pot and had to use the over-used large burner on my glass cooktop. The pasta pot fits inside my smaller burner. My only dissatisfaction with the glass cooktop is that water does not maintain a boil. However, this pasta pot (with a smaller base) maintains a boil. In addition, the pot is deep, so plenty of water can be added with enough space at the top to prevent boil-overs. The interior basket makes draining pasta easy. All this, plus the pot is shiny and pretty. If some water spots appear on the inside, return the pot to shiny-bright with a little stainless steel cleaner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant little Boiler I recently purchased this cute pasta boiler after gifting one to my eldest brother. He was thrilled with it and I really like it too. It's perfect for pasta for two or four and it reaches boiling point a lot quicker than my bigger pasta pot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a great pot We received this as a wedding gift and absolutely love it! I have used it several times to cook pasta, and then steam vegetables immediately after using the same water. It is so nice to be able to drain pasta without wasting all that water! The water does take a long time to boil, but that is clearly based on the amount of water in the pot, not the pot itself. Love the versatility of this piece as well as the design and the stainless steel material.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for 2! We received this pasta pot as a wedding gift. It is perfect for making just the right amount of pasta for 2! My strainer inside makes it easy to go from pot to plate in no time. It is easy to clean and not to large for storage ( my bigger pot is a pain to use and store when only cooking for 2)! Absolutely recommend!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Pot I bought this a couple of months ago and have used it only a handful of times. I love the size, look, and function. However, it has developed a couple of spots on the inside and I'm not sure how, since I have taken proper care of the pot. They appear to be oxidized, rather than rust, so the material may not be as 'high' quality as I would expect from Crate&Barrel. I am not planning on returning it, so I hope that it will last me a long while for the price I paid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase I ever made I bought this pot and have no trouble boiling water. It boils faster if you put the lid on it. As for cooking pasta it is the greatest. You don't have the lid on when you cook the pasta so it doesn't boil over and it is so simple to drain, all the water goes back into the pot. Even my Husband loves it and he is Italian so we use it a several times a week.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great idea I love the idea of this pot built for two, but it takes forever to boil water. I'm sending it back.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from pasta pot loved the idea and the look. unfortunately it will be going back...takes forever to boil and you can't fill it up without it boiling over when it's empty. secondly you have to drain it so very slowly to prevent it shooting all over that you wind up with a lot of steam in your face....back to the drawing board for this one.
