Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handsome pitcher We got this pitcher as a gift off our wedding registry a year and a half ago. It looks nice and is a good thick quality glass. It's easy to handle with the slot to grab on the side. Many others have complained that it leaks when you pour it but I haven't really had a major problem with that (and I use this pitcher both at home and work). Sure, it can drip a few drops but doesn't gush out all over itself and make a big mess. It's not my favorite pitcher ever but I certainly would buy one again or give it as a gift. And the lid is a nice feature too!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great but wish there was a size in-between We have both these jugs, and while we use them all the time, I really wish there was a size in between. The large one would be great for a family of 4+, or if you're using it for a party, but I only ever fill it half way on a regular basis (when it's just my husband and me). And the small size is just about two servings, so when I make something to fill it, I usually end up having to drink a few glasses before storing. If there was a size in between we would probably have two of those instead of either of these sizes. That being said, I still recommend these because it's hard to find a stylish, glass jug that fits easily into the fridge.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just Don't Shake It! I love everything about this product EXCEPT for the cheap plastic lid. I specifically wanted to use the bottle to store juices, but the ill-fitting lid means no shaking AND the contents will not stay fresh due to exposure to the air. C&B -- any hope that you will redesign the lid???

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Lid Ruins It This is where I learned that putting everything on the registry via the internet (instead of the store) may not be the best idea. Also, I should have read the reviews! I was just too excited to get it on my list.I have been looking for a new lemonade container for quite some time. When I saw this online I was so excited... Very good looking, perfect size, glass. When I got this at my shower, again I was excited... everything looked good, but I didn't really inspect it. I was too excited to get it home and put some lemonade in it.And this is where the dream fell apart. When I went to shake the lemonade, I learned that the lid was not water-tight. BUMMER.We'll still use it for holding cold water at dinner parties... but the not the everyday use I was hoping for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent and Inexpensive I use these to make "refrigerator Iced tea," which I wouldn't do in plastic containers. Just put four or five tea bags in the larger container, fill with water, and put in fridge. It's ready within a few hours. And, you use the container then to serve the iced tea.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cream pitcher I wanted a small pitcher to keep cream in the fridge as I use it daily. My daughter had a larger one for water, so I thought this would be good because the carton cream comes in gets yucky fast. This suits my needs perfectly, easy to use and clean, is durable and I am very happy with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from retro pitcher My wife had found a pitcher very similar to this one which she was very fond of. (Neither of us could remember where she got it.) We had it for several years before I unfortunately broke it while washing it in the sink. I searched all over the web but couldn't find anything even close to replace it. Then my wife got a Crate & Barrel catalog in the mail and--lo and behold--there was the exact pitcher! I immediately ordered it online. She was very happy to have the replacement with one quibble: the cap on the original was rubber and the plastic cap on this one is inferior.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Child Sized Jug My boys (almost three and five) were so excited to have their own water jug. It is sturdy and fits perfectly in their small hands. Not too heavy and they love the independence that it gives them. Anytime they are thirsty they just go get themselves a drink. (I like that too as I don't have to keep getting them drinks all day and they drink a lot more water this way.)I do wish I knew what kind of plastic was used in the top but since we just use it with water (so clearly not heated) I'm not too concerned but this would be a helpful to include in product descriptions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from big but light this glass water jug is the best ever, light, easy lid/pour feature (better than a screw top), large enough so it doesn't have to filled too frequently, and for a very reasonable price. For over 20 years I had an old glass ridged jug from a flea market. I put it, full, in the freezer and then forgot to take it out. It cracked and got thrown out. Being a big water drinker, I wanted to replace it right away. I went online to Crate & Barrel, typed 'glass water jug" into search and came up with this. It's like I got back my vintage one quickly and newer and better.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Shape & Wieght - Lid is useless I checked that I would not recommend this product because if you want something like this, you should wait - they will probably fix the lid problem at some point and then it will be a good buy.Everyone was right, the lid is useless. we put saran wrap around it to help, but i don't know why they even bothered with the lid if this is what they came up with. I love the shape, size and weight of the glass, but the lid has got to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plastic storage alternative! I am very big in to having a BPA free (no plastic) kitchen and this jug is really GREAT!! It is a VERY light glass-- when I held it at the store I asked if it was plastic because it feels like plastic, but it's not! And the glass keeps the water colder than plastic would. There isn't a hole in the cap to pour the liquid out, you have to take the cap totally out to pour which was a surprise to me, but I still love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Size & So Handy! I bought the smaller size of the jugs. It's great! I have been able to make more room in my frig by transferring orange juice that is near the bottom into this jug. I do the same for other beverages too. It looks great and frees up space. I like how it looks on the table too. It holds half and half for functions...looking better than a carton.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stores homemade nectar I use this small jug to store hummingbird nectar I make during the summer. After making 2 cups of nectar, I wanted something practical to store it. This container has a solid handle and pour spout that works well when transferring the nectar to a feeder. It takes little room in the refrig. and the easy open/easy close lid is a bonus.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lid Inadequate Very good container in every respect but the lid. It is meant to store liquids but the lid is not air tight and is definitely not suitable for shaking (which is essential for most juices). The lid is not even practical for pouring - it must be removed if you want the liquid to come out all in the same direction

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the best pour This jug was bought to replace the one I had bought a few years ago at crate and barrel, and recently broke. I am not as happy with this one, as it is difficult to pour when full without spilling liquid out the sides of the spout. To pour well, you almost need to remove the lid. I wish I could find the old one!
