The Story

Handcrafted in Germany by the Redecker family of artisan brushmakers, this thoughtfully designed nail brush features double-sided pig bristles to thoroughly yet gently scrub nails after hands-on chores. The contoured beechwood handle is a pleasure to hold, honed to ergonomically fit the hand. This brush will stand the test of time with proper care, needing only a gentle wash.

Blind since the age of four, Friedrich Redecker was enrolled in the Soest School for the Blind where he learned the art of brushmaking. Perfecting his craft over his lifetime, Redecker went on to found his namesake company in 1935, passing his knowledge to his sons who have continued his legacy. With the finest craftsmanship and the integrity of all natural materials, our curated Redecker collection will serve you and your family for years and generations to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everyone must buy one I have one by every sink in my house and I love this one the best because it has two different sides with different bristles on each side. I'm obsessed with clean hands and nails. Before cooking and after cooking is the best time to clean nails also after you touch anything messy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fine. States its purpose. Gave as a stocking stuffer and was happily received. Nice to find reasonably priced, practical, useful items like this for stocking stuffers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soft, natural fibers Cleans my nails gently (other brushes I have tried with synthetic bristles are too harsh) . I use the short bristles to clean under the nails and the longer bristles for the cuticle area. A great product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Attractive and functional This wooden nailbrush is attractive and functional in a basic way. I like that it is made from wood with natural bristles, no stains or dyes to detract from the natural elements. It does the job well. Only 4 stars instead of 5 since after awhile the wood may begin to rot/mold around the bristles where it can remain wet, but I have found that lightly drying (shaking off excess water and/or a light towel drying) and then slightly elevating the brush (on a soap dish for example) will help to prolong the life of the brush. It should last for years with proper care. This is the second one I have purchased in about 10 years.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Splinters. I bought this to give as a Christmas gift and it came unfinished. The wood grain wasn't sanded down and raw surfaces with splintered wood left from machining were sticking out everywhere. I had to file it down myself before it was present-worthy. Also, I think that the bristles may be a little too soft.It has a very pleasing, simple design and these double-sided nail brushes are pretty hard to find. Had it been properly finished, I would definitely rate this higher. I only recommend it on the premises that it comes smooth and ready to use, as expected.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Okay, but not great. My husband and I both think the bristles for the nails should be stiffer.
