Perfect steamer
We purchased this for our youngest daughter & son-in-law and had it shipped to them in Nashville as a gift along with the set of Parker mixing bowls. They LOVE both items!!

Perfect Size/Great Quality
This is the perfect vegetable steamer if you're looking to prepare a small to medium amount of vegetables. The quality is excellent and what I enjoy most is that the lid is clear so I can see how done my veggies are without having to lift the lid. Easy to store as well due to its nice size. I love it!

gift for daughters
Was trying to find a vegetable steamer for both of my daughters for Christmas last year. I came across this one and found it to be a very reasonable price. The girls love using them. A very healthy way for preparing vegetables, fresh or frozen.

So Healthy and Sharp Looking
I just purchased a food steamer, have struggled with finding right baskets, pots and pans and covers! Never getting it right. Now with this set , I steam away! The size is just right for 2 to 3 people, the lid fits tightly and the basket is so cute, I serve from it !
Takes the hassle away from steaming, I am now eating better, saving calories and having fun cooking, thanks Crate and Barrel! I love my steamer

Excellent Vegetables
This pot is a little small if you're cooking for more than two, but perfect for just me. The water heats up quickly and is better than the generic inserts I've tried in the past.

Great product for a great price
I was so excited to see such a useful piece of cookware at such an affordable price. So far, it's been great for steaming things like green beans. I love that there are handles in the basket to lift it out easily using a towel or tongs.

This steamer has worked great for us! It's just two of us so we don't need to cook as much at a time, but it has cooked our vegetables perfecty.

LOVE! Perfect for my family!
I had set out to purchase a great steamer to do fresh and frozen veggies in at dinner time, there are three of us and this is perfect. Please read the size carefully and compare it to your 4 qt pan at home before you buy and claim to be dissappointed. I looked at several other products before purchasing this and it was the best price I could find! Hands down not to mention it has held up great . A staple to any healthy kitchen!!

High Maintenance
Does the job like any steamer should. It's just hard to clean. You MUST ensure that you scrub this pot clean in order to maintain it's beauty, and it is beautiful. However, you cannot just let it air dry. It must be wiped clean immediately or it will rust after just a couple of uses. All in all, not worth the money when a little improvisation in the kitchen would yield the same results this pot offers.

Dissapointed
I did a lot of research before buying this steamer. It has good reviews and I really like the size. I also did trust Crate and Barrel name. However it is not working for me. The lid keeps on jumping around and splash water all over my range. I always use low flame but the bottom still burns. What a dissapointment!!!

Love it!!
I've been steaming vegetables for years using one of my existing pots and one of those cheap-o steamer inserts you buy at the grocery store. I cant believe I used those steamer inserts (that fell apart, sqeaked and screeched against the pot, etc.) when this awesome steamer was available!
I bought this out of the "Best Buys" catalog. The price was fantastic and the product is exactly as described. I was worried it would be too small, but its a great size. The steamer function is great - I find the basket to be the right depth and width to accommodate all my veggies - even long asparagus.
This pot, basket and lid are very well made. I'm very happy witnh the purchase and you will be, too!

Bought it for the second time and Love It!
This is the second time I've bought this steamer. The first one lasted a VERY long time but I broke the lid accidentally. I used it with foil for about a year (still loved it), finally bought a new one and love it even more...bigger than the first...LOVE IT! I'm very health conscious and steam veggies every day; would definitely recommend!

Great kitchen tool!
We recieved this as a wedding shower gift and love it. Cooked vegetables in it the other night and it cooked them just perfectly! No issues with it boiling over or anything, just loved it. And, it's small so that you can put it up away in a cabinet somewhere for storage, very lightweight too. Great purchase for sure, would recommend!

Picture is deceiving
I bought this steamer for my daughter who just got married and moved into an apartment. Our family has used a steamer similar to this one for many years, but it is too small to steam more than small amounts of vegetables, corn on the cob (3 at most at a time), and tamales at a time. I was hoping this one would be bigger, but even though the picture makes it seem bigger, it isn't.
When can someone make a bigger steamer for normal size families of 4? Love the clear glass lid, though!

Actually, I've been looking for a steamer for quite some time. Many have to be purchased with an entire cookware set. There are just two of us, but this pot works for so many things, I think it one of my favorites.
An additional PLUS: Crate & Barrel does an excellent job of packing. I've ordered several items and all came very well wrapped & protected against breakage.
A win-win all the way.

Steam me up!
Look no further! A fabulous vegetable steamer that heats evenly throughout no matter how many veggies you pack in the pot! Love the design of the insert as it has wire handles that fold up and down. Perfect in size and all pieces wash up in the dishwasher in a cinch! Love, love, love it!

Great Purchase!
Bought this last month and have used it frequently. No problems with the lid but it has darkened slightly on the bottom of the pan. I don't have a problem with that considering the price of the pan. I think this works so much better than the steamer with feet we used to use. If you like to steam vegetables in high quantity, this pan is for you.

Great Purchase
This steamer is of good quality, sturdy and very well made. Better then I even expected when I initially ordered it. Another reviewer claimed that the lid is too light. The lid is made of glass (good for seeing what's cooking) and is perfect. Simply lower the heat once the boiling has started and the lid will not move. We use this one on a daily basis to steam vegetables, fish and cook pasta. Great purchase!
