Cooks well, may chip
Just made lasagna in it the other night, and it cooks very evenly as cast iron should. However, mine has chipped slightly, but that's not really an issue since I have it in white.

Excellent Lasagna Pan
Excellent for making lasagna, very deep so no boiling over, heats evenly in oven, looks great on table, easy to clean. Only one possible downside - very heavy when full of lasagna...

Great Roaster
It is very heavy and can be hard to lift when full, but it heats very evenly. I cook a varied of food in it, dips, baked ziti, lasagna, casseroles... It holds a lot and is dip. I have the smaller version too. I love the color!

Nice deep pan
This is a nice deep pan, which I always had a hard time finding before. It's heavy though so be forewarned - but the weight is good because it ensures an even cook.

Product Rave!
This baker was received as a bridal shower present, and we both absolutely love it! While it is a heavier dish, it cooks everything beautifully. We've used it for anything from lasagna, to baked ziti, to meats. One of my favorite features is it cleans so easily. No hard scrubbing needed! Even for baked on messes.

Its so pretty and functional
I love the bright cherry red color, and I just made pastitsio (Greek lasagna) last night in it. Its so great for serving a ton of guests or if you have a big family. Just looking at it makes me happy!

Heavy but worth it!
The heft of this dish means perfect roasted vegetables and a lasagna with even cooking. The way it retains heat is a real plus when you are serving to a large group since it keeps the meal warm when everyone is going back for seconds.
Hand washing is not a big deal if you fill with water after it is freshly empty, a solid soak makes clean up a snap.
It looks great on my open cupboard in my red-accented kitchen.

Favorite pan in my kitchen
I love when I get the chance to use this roaster! Even just cooking for two, sometimes I double recipes just to use it! It cooks beautifully, and also looks so elegant on the table! The deep, straight sides are essential for making a perfect lasagna!

Sturdy
This pan is awesome. It hold heat really well. The red color turns this deeper almost brick red color when it's nice and hot so you know things are heating up nicely. (probably not the intention of the cookware to do it, but all my Batali stuff seems to do that. no worries, it goes back it it's normal bright read color when it cools.) The pan is sturdy and has nice corners, unlike the pyrex dishes which are more rounded. I love the Batali line of cookware. I have the dutch oven, the small casserole, this and the risotto pan. All are awesome.

Brilliant Product Line, Brilliant Product!
I can't say enough good things about this lasagna pan. It's heavy and sturdy, the enamel holds up well and it's great for making lasagna (the deeper the better!) or roasting a leg of lamb. Don't buy a cast iron lasagna pan if you don't want a heavy pan; but despite its weight it cleans up easily. I love the entire Batali product line and am slowly accruing everything. Its great stuff, by far the best enameled iron cookware I've used.
