Great Teapot
This OXO teapot is well designed and attractive. It has a very easy opening spout that stays open and the handle is comfortable to hold.The whistle is very loud and the kettle heats water well. I like the stainless steel and black design because it has a retro look. The other Oxo products I also have (Pop storage containers, paper towel holder and pizza cutter are all ergonomically designed and can all be used with one hand. Oxo is a little bit more expensive but worth it. I especially LOVE the teapot!

Heats water well ... other than that, meh
This kettle was so pretty on the shelf, I wanted it on my stove all the time. Sadly, that means it gets splattered with oil and sauces and other whatnot and it is, in fact, nearly impossible to keep clean. I've tried bleach, abrasive cleaners, soaking, boiling water, and nothing is taking those stains off. The handle gets a little warm with use, but not painfully so. That said, this is for boiling water, and the large surface area of the bottom of the kettle makes quick work of it.

disappointed
I bought this kettle with high hopes. It was an OXO so I was sure it'd be good. I was doubly disappointed. The metal was tough to keep clean, spots and stains were impossible to remove. (I've never had a tea kettle spot and stain like this one.) The handle got very hot., so we had to use a hot pad to pour. The lid was extremely difficult to remove. It began to rust around the knob and most recently it broke right off. For what I paid, and for the OXO name, it was the worst tea kettle I've ever owned. Very disappointed.

This kettle was the perfect gift for me. I love tea and this was the kettle for me...love it!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Whistler!!
This teakettle is the BEST ever! Before I can get my ingredients together for my cappuccino, the whistling has already began! The easy to use buttons for opening and closing are absolute GENIUS! So easy for one-hand use!!
An added bonus is the way it looks on my smooth top range --- beautiful!

Great Kettle!
This kettle was a great choice. My husband and I both like the clean look, easy to use "Click Click" feature, and the handle that doesn't require a hotpad to pick up!

Excellent!!
The Teakettle is perfect for what it is made to do! The handle gets slightly hot when the kettle is ready, but other than that, it is great! Very sleek looking, and great to leave out as decor!

Wonderfully balanced

My husband uses this tea kettle every night to make tea before bed, and it has never let us down. Stainless Tea Kettle
I like the fact that it fits on the large burner on the stove so it heats up faster and has a strong whistle sound that lets you know it is ready. Easy to clean and looks so nice! I'm very pleased with my purchase!
