Perfect dinnerware
I had been looking for a classic dinnerware set for daily use that would be classy enough to use for dinner guests. Not only did I find theEXACT set at Crate and Barrel, it was less expensive than anywhere else. I can always find the best value at Crate and Barel!

Love this for everyday and for entertaining!
So happy with my 12 piece set of the Essential Dinnerware. I was looking and looking for pure white dishes and fell in love with these. We our so happy with them.. I also use these for a modern twist to formal dining.. Super happy with them.. Drove from Rochester NY to Cleveland to buy them!

Best Casual Dishes Ever!
I had purchased a dinnerware set of square, heavy dishes and found that I hated the size and the bulk. I researched for weeks for the perfect set of round, clean white, simple, lightweight but not "cheap" feeling dishes. These dishes are PERFECT. We've had them for about 3 months and have not seen a scratch or dent on any of them. The mugs are huge and perfect for a cozy cup of coffee. My husband loves the plates because, although they are round, they are quite sizable and can fit his usual big plate of food :)
Also, we have heavy, durably silverware that I was worried might not match the dishes but I can say these dishes can go with any style kitchen. They are by far my favorite kitchen purchase. I plan on buying more and using them for life!! :)

Great Everyday Product
I bought two sets one with the 7" bowl and one with 5.75" bowls. They are great. Perfect for everyday but could be used for more formal events as well . The 7" are good lunch size salads or pasta. The 5.75 is a good cereal bowl. Love them. I would like a smaller version of the mug but overall a great purchase and a good price. I ordered this online and the packing was amazing. Very very well packed.

Could not ask for more
I recieved these as part of my wedding registry and I love them! Beautiful, clean lines, classy looking but great for everyday use. The oversize mugs are great. The best part is that when I go to reheat my coffee, the handle stays totally cool! I love that. Perfect combo of beautiful and practical.

Love Affair where the honeymoon never ends
I had a set of Essential Dinnerware for over 10 years! I loved the set from day 1. Often times, I need time to warm up to a product and play a little hard to get. But with the Essential Dinnerware, it was love at first sight. I adored everything about it and continue to love its classic and simple lines so much that when enough pieces of my original set broke, I replaced it with another full serving set for 8. I have to say I am still enamored with this design. My love affair with the Essential dinnerware has outlasted any boyfriend I have ever had. It never disappoints me. The elegance design can be dressed up or down. My only hesitation of not giving this product 5 stars is that the mug is not as elegant with a timeless modernity as the former version. But as I never use the mugs with the place setting, I would definitely give it 4 and 3/4 stars if I could.

Best Purchase Ever
I bought this set for everyday use and couldn't be happier. The mugs are perfect size for my morning coffee and comfortable to hold. The small plates are small enough to not take up too much space, but big enough to use for small portioned meal/snack. After 6 months of daily use and being put through the dishwasher, they look as good as the day I unpacked them, not a single chip! I would highly recommend this product.

Great Basics!
I have had this set of dish for about four months and love them! There are basic so they go with everything so you can change the color scheme of your table. They are well made and I have run them through the dishwasher numerous times with no problems.

Nice dishes, but durable
I really like these dishes. They have a very clean simple look. But two of them are already chipped, and I have only had them for 3 months. I'm afraid they won't have the longevity that I had hoped for.

GREAT FOR EVERYDAY USE
THIS IS A BASIC WHITE EVERYDAY SET. IT IS BEAUTIFUL AND CAN BE DRESSED UP AND USED ELEGANTLY IN A MORE FORMAL SETTING.
MY ONLY OBJECTION IS THE SIZE OF THE MUG,WAY TOO BIG!
WE USE THE MUG FOR HOT COCOA, THE KIDS LOVE THE LARGE SIZE.

Highly recommended!! Even my husband likes them!
After 14 years of living with the same dishes we bought when we got married, we decided it was time to simplify and get rid of our mismatched and tired collection. We LOVE this set and plan to buy another one. They have a very nice weight and make a very easy transition from casual eating on the couch to nice dinner party. They remind us of restaurant dishes. My husband has commented about how much he likes them several times and he's not a big complimenter (of things) so that's saying a lot. We've been using them for about a month. No complaints! Great look, feel, price!! We would definitely recommend this set!

great dishes!
We have had these dishes for 4 months and we still love them. They have a sleek, modern yet simple design. They are nice bright white and it makes our colorful food pop. We chose the large bowls and love them. They are great for soups or noodle dishes and my husband's large bowls of cereal. The dinner plates are large (great for the hubby or a large spread of food during the holidays) but the salad plates are a little smaller and just my size. One dinner plate arrived chipped (although packed very well) and they sent a free replacement out the very next day. We have had no additional problems thus far. :)

Awesome dinnerware set
I purchased this set and I couldn't be happier. The plates are beautiful and go with any thing. I can spruce up my table with colored glasses or a bright colored salad plate etc. I love love love the salad plate because when you don't want to have a full dinner you can use these plates and they work great!!! I am going to purchase another set soon! The best part about the set is the price so affordable!
