Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stack great! These are the perfect size for cereal. I loved the glaze on them because they felt a little "fancy". I also like the texture because it makes it something other then the boring white. Even with the unglazed bottom, we've stacked them dirty with no staining, left them over night and no scratches either. Best dishes ever!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Artsy and Quality I've purchased the entire set of the Mercer collection as my everyday dishes. I love the artsy characteristic of them - uneven, hand made look and feel of the finish. I've had the set for about a year and no chips or breaks, therefore feel the quality to be outstanding. Plus, if you do break one, it won't break the bank to replace it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Dishes! I bought serving set for 8 (without mugs). I love the look and feel of these dishes. They look handmade and they are very light and feel like fine china, but are not fragile. The price is amazing for the quality

Rated 5 out of 5 by from casual yet elegant Love my Mercer dinnerware. I chose not to register for fine China so I wanted to find dinnerware that was casual yet elegant. This fits the bill! Also, it is surprisingly durable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice I like this bowl because it is a good size and depth, my husband loves huge cereal bowls and I like that it is not perfectly round, give it something different. Very clean and simple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous and practical We purchased these bowls with other plates from the Mercer line. They are beautiful, and their size is great for both soups, cereal and to place in the middle of the table with olives for example. They always look shiny and clean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beautiful I have these for Daily eating and decor on my Farm Table. This set was just what I was looking for. I wanted white square dinnerware but everything I saw was so typical and everything looked alike. These have texture and not every piece is perfect. Beautiful modern rustic pieces I was looking for. I think I may get the round as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Dinnerware I ordered dinner plates, salad plates and bowls from the Mercer Dinnerware collection -- I couldn't have been more impressed. The plates and bowls are wide and their weight is substantial. The shape of this collection is modern, but not stuffy. I love handmade ceramics, and the variations in each piece give them that quality. I'm a little obsessed . . . .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and subtle! I own a few pieces of the Mercer dinnerware and will purchase more. I have used the dinner plates to serve appetizers in addition to regular use. I like white dinnerware but sometimes I would like to serve with a bit more character. The Mercer Dinnerware offers this with a low rim and very subtly textured surface. These are elegant and subtle while still providing a unique quality. This is hard to find at such a reasonable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Mercer collection I bought a set of Mercer plates, bowls, and mugs about a month ago and am thrilled with them. They're thin, and might look delicate, but we're pretty hard on dishes and these have already held up to being dropped or put down hard. These bowls are a great size for cereal or soup.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sizes I bought this about 6 months ago for every day use and some entertaining. I have two different size plates and the small bowl, which all stack well and make for a nice place setting. The bowls are great for a small dessert or starting off with a dip or salsa. I most like the durability of the product. I am pretty rough as far as washing dishes goes and these can take a beating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Dinnerware! We registered for the Mercer Dinnerware set of plates, bowls and others for our wedding and have been SO pleased with their simplicity, durability, and character! Their minimalist design makes them stand apart from other dinnerware while also being reasonably priced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unglazed items are not a problem For those worried about the bottom of ANY unglazed items...It can easily be remedied with regular wood working sandpaper...Just rub the unglazed surface, that touches on your table, lightly until smooth. How long will depend on the grit, fine or heavy, of the sandpaper used. It will smooth out nicely and won't scratch your tables! Takes just a minute or two!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Charming & rustic I bought these a few weeks ago and have been pleased with the purchase so far. I wanted something simple & elegant that would wear well and look good stacked on my open shelving. So far, so good! As other reviewers mentioned, the bottoms are unglazed. It hasn't caused any problems, although I was hesitant about that feature. They are fairly light weight, but they've gone through the dishwasher and in and out of the sink a few times with no issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best dishes yet! We purchased these dishes last fall and have been very happy with them. I was a little worried after reading reviews about them chipping but have not found that to be the case and they have held up extremely well. They are a nice weight and finish. We use the salad plates usually as our dinner plates unless it is a big meal and the large bowls as serving or pasta bowls. The appetizer plates and small bowls work well for little servings. I purchased other colorful medium size bowls for soup and they look great with the white. These are definite favorites and I hope C&B never discontinues them or I will be stocking up!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In love! We just purchased these place settings and we are in LOVE with them. They're delicate, yet durable, and we love the modern pottery appearance they have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the mugs! I bought the mugs to use with plates from another set. Keeps coffee warm, husband likes that mug handle is wide enough to fit his hand, and have held up wonderfully in dishwasher. Great purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful & durable! This dinnerware set is probably the best thing we received as a wedding present! The plates are VERY durable and are elegant and beautiful! The rippled glossy texture looks like water! I was impressed that they can be put in the oven as well as the microwave! Every meal I make look fabulous on these plates!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love my Mercer dinnerware! I have had my Mercer dinnerware for about one year. I bought 6 sets of square plates and 6 sets of round. I like to mix and match them on the table. I think the serving bowl is beautiful. But . . . the plates get marked up from the silverware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After 45 years! 45 years ago when I got married, I wanted a square plate dishes and the salesperson talked me out of it! Now they are the trend! So I treated myself to an entire new set and I selected the Mercer line. The irregular lines are ideal for my taste of handmade items. I LOVE IT!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beutiful, elegant I bought the dinner and salad plates, and the two different bowls. I love these pieces. They do get warm in the microwave, warmer than my old dishes. They are so elegant and wash/wear well. I have no issues with them. I love the hammered look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great size!! I've been looking for a decent sized salad plate for quite a while, something that doesn't let the salad spill over the edges. These are just right.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely little apetizer plates I bought 4 square and 4 round appetizer plates to use for small desserts. They made a square of cake with whipped cream look elegant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I like these plates! I really like these dishes. Have so many dishes, but decided to downsize to one everyday set and I really have enjoyed these new dishes. The bowls don't stack too well, because they are kindof wobbly shaped, but I still like them.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great Interim Dishes I've had these for a little over a year - bought 2 sets and some extra items. What I love - they're really pretty. I fell in love with them at the store. Why 2 stars if I'm in love - within the first few months, a few of the plates (app and dinner size) chipped. A few of the bowls cracked. Ive had dishes that have lasted me 8+ years that were inexpensive but apparently better made compared to this. I'm a little disappointed in the lack of durability given the price point for a 8 person set and also the add on accessory dishes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great work horse We now have 4 sets of dinnerware from C&B and this is one of our favorites. Goes with just about everyhing, washes great, does not stain and has some great additional pieces. Love the little coctail plates. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love these! I bought these items approx 1 year ago. I previously had a set of stoneware and hated them! Every time I would heat something on them I would burn my hands on the plate and the food would still be cold. My daughter and I were shopping and stopped in a C&B store in Chicago, and started looking at dinnerware. I had no intention of buying anything when I found these. It was a great investment! The only downside (and its a very small downside) is the size of the plates. They are larger than usual, which makes the amount of food on them look small, so if you're not careful you may load them up more than usual. By the way, my husband even loves them, which most husbands don't care so long as food is on the plate! I would definitely purchase them again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the handmade look, but practical use! Bought the appetizer plates and small bowls first, a find! then have added all the dishes, LOVE THE low large bowls for pasta! now adding the square plates are wonderful for sandwiches, waffles, brownies etc. These look handmade but can use in dishwasher, microwave etc. and they are very durable yet aethestically upscale!
