3 Broken in 2 Weeks
As so many others have written, these glasses look fabulous but chip and break far too easily. We received these for our wedding, and after using them for the past 2 weeks I need to replace 3 of them already. I highly doubt that these glasses will last very long in our house, which is shame considering the price!

Break Way Too Easily
We received 4 of these glasses for our wedding only 3 months ago. One broke and two have chips. We've already ordered new glasses. Completely unacceptable from Crate & Barrel.

LOVE.LOVE.LOVE!
I have had these glasses for almost two years and received them as a wedding present. Despite, the other reviews on fragility, they are rather durable though like any other glass they will break when abused. For instance, I had a horrible habit of placing dirty utensils inside of them when they were sitting in the sink and broke two when I placed too many utensils in them. I will say, they have survived all their washings in the dishwasher and multiple family gatherings. I personally would recommend them.

Classy Glasses
These are great bar glasses. I bought them for my boyfriend to use as whiskey glasses, but we use them for everything. They are so great looking and more sturdy than I expected!

Double Old-Fashioned Works great
Looks like most of the reviews talking about the fragility of these glasses are in reference to using the highball glasses as everyday glasses. Have had no such problems with the old-fashioned glasses, but I use them as bar glasses. They are thin, but in an elegant way that enhances the experience of drinking mixed drinks and spirits. I have also put these in the dishwasher for over two years with no problems--but would probably hand wash the highballs given their height. I would highly recommend these as bar glasses, but never as everyday drinking glasses.

Great Barware
We received these as wedding gifts from our registry, along with the highballs, nine years ago - not one break. We are getting ready to order more to add to the collection. I wouldn't use these for your every day drinking glasses, nor would I put them in the dishwasher (we never have). You can tell they are fragile, but it's what makes them great. Nice for special occasions and your bar. I highly recommend.

Do not buy
As a lot of people have mentioned, these glasses are very fragile. We received 12 glasses as a wedding gift one year ago, and only four are left. Several broke in the dishwasher, but several also broke getting ice from the ice maker on our refrigerator. This is not acceptable from a everyday drinking glass. I wish I had read the reviews prior to registering for them, because I would never have wanted them. If you want a good everyday glass, this is not it.

Who cares how they look? They're too fragile!
Some (overly kind, in my opinion) reviewers have noted how fragile these highball glasses are but also noted how nice they look and given them more than 1 star. Not me: it doesn't matter how great they look--they're too fragile! We've been married 5 months and away from town a decent portion of that time (in excess of a full month total) and yet 2 of these have broken and 3 have chipped at the rim. That's ridiculous.
Incidentally, if you're looking for only doubles then you are probably fine: it seems like other reviewers are only having issues with the highballs and that's the case for us too--no problems at all so far with the doubles.

Nice looking but fragile
I like these glasses a lot but they seem to chip easily in the dishwasher. I like the look and how heavy they feel. The only disappointment is the lip chips often.

Too delicate
We registered for these glasses for our wedding registry. When they arrived in the mail, one was already broken. It turns out that the glass is too thin to withstand much jostling. Also, and we hadn't thought of this, they were too tall to fit in our dishwasher so we returned the whole set.

drinking glass
We purchased these glasses to use for a water glass. I would not recommend this. We have broken 5 of them in one year. Some just broke in the dishwasher. They are beautiful, just not very durable.

Great Glasses for Everyday Use
We got these for our wedding (8 tall, 8 short) and we use them every day. Their classic look will never go out of style. I like how the bottom feels a little heavier, like it's weighted down. One of our glasses got a hairline break right where the glass became heavy. Not sure if they was some sort of defect with the glass, but the new one and all the other glasses are fine.

Beautiful glass - questionable durability
These glasses are beautiful, but that may be where the positives end.
I have the old-school state of mind that drinking glasses should be functional first and ascetically pleasing second. We received 8 highball and 8 old-fashioned glasses as a gift for our wedding last year, and while the double old-fashioned have survived the year, 6 out of the 8 highball glasses have not. And while it may be more exciting to think that we have wild glass throwing parties every other weekend, in reality the glasses chipped in the the dishwasher. The description states that they are dishwasher safe, but if you see these glasses in person, they are so delicate that you wouldn't trust a brute like me to hand wash them.
While these glasses may be ascetically pleasing, they are hardly functional unless you have a constant supply.

Great glasses! Not fragile!
I've had these glasses for several months now and they are amazing. They have a great heft to them, are dishwasher safe, and have not had any problems with them being 'fragile' like other users. And that says a lot coming from me because I'm kind of a klutz. They are my husbands favorite gift we received off of our registry.

Fragile - Not for everyday use
Beautiful, but fragile. All eight of the highball glasses have broken in the dishwasher, despite careful placement. (The bottoms are heavy and thus prone to toppling in dw when placed upside down.) The old-fashioned glasses are fine and have remained clear even with heavy use.
