Perfect mix of price and performance
I was unsure about which knife set I wanted to buy to replace a drawer full of mismatched knives. After visiting the store I found the Wusthof Classic are much sturdier than the Gourmet and less expensive than the Wusthof Ikon. Also if you're looking to expand this set the Classic line has several options to choose from. After nearly a year of continuous use these knives are still in great condition.

Best knife purchase ever
Delivery was right on time.....quality is exceptional...usage is simple yet exact and storage is clean and simple. I purchased this as a bridal shower gift for my daughter and will most likely purchase Another one for myself.

Love these knives!
I have wanted a set of these knives ever since my sister, a chef, received a set for her wedding. I finally bit the bullet and bought them and I have not been disappointed.
They really are a superior product to other knife blocks that I have purchased or used in the past. I did not go with the larger, more piece set as I don't eat steak, so the steak knives would be unnecessary for me.
Unrelated to the quality of the knives; when they arrived to me, the block was damaged. In typical Crate & Barrel amazing customer service, they had a new, perfect set sent to me in two days. They make shopping with them easy!
Buy these knives if you enjoy cooking or if you don't! They really make prep work a breeze.

Fantastic Knives
We received these knives as wedding gifts off our registry and they make cooking a joy. The grip is excellent and we've been very pleased with how easily they chop and slice. Even the casual cook will notice a difference when using these knives as compared with a less expensive set.

Nicest knives I've ever owned!!
I couldn't be happier with this knife/block set. I recieved this as a shower gift for my wedding. These are SUPER SHARP - i cut my fingers twice before taking heed. Great starter set for me, now I can build my collection with the open slots that are remaining. Very durable and I've put them in the dishwasher a few times - I'm trying my best to only handwash. Great splurge

Great wedding gift
We received the classic set as a wedding shower gift and LOVE them! We use them all the time. We've had them for almost 2 years and they are still as sharp as can be!

Great Set, Great Value
Wüsthof's knife-set is perfect for the kitchen. I cook often and this set is a great value for such a professional caliber. I loved the space at the bottom meant for steak knives. I recently received steak knives, from a similar brand, and they fit perfectly and look uniform with the rest of the knives in the block.

I've waited a long time for these knives!
...and the wait was totally worth it! I had been wanting a great set of knives forever, I wasn't a very savvy chef before, I always dreaded prepping with our old knives, but now it's such a breeze to prepare meals - I am in love with these knives!!
