Beautiful dish but would not recommend
Love this serving dish but it is extremely fragile. I purchased this piece twice and the glass has shattered both times while hand washing in the sink.

Great Wedding Gift
This was purchased from a registry. I really like the design, clean and elegant. I also like the fact it was two pieces which increased its versatility. The plate can be used as a platter and the dip bowl can be used for putting out nuts or candy.

Crooked, bent, warped
Both pieces of the set came and were crooked. I could not set either on a flat surface and not have it teeter back and forth. I had to return.

Only lasted one use
Product was lovely and worked wonderfully the one time I was able to use it. It is very fragile!! It was set in the sink to be hand washed and it shattered.

Loving it since 2003
I registered for this for my wedding in 2003 and it's still alive and well. It's a beautiful addition to formal and casual gatherings.
We store it in a drawer in our china cabinet (candles are also stored in that drawer, but nothing hard) and in the last few years, we've even started washing it in the dishwasher on the top rack. I realize it's likely that we've just been lucky not to break it scratch it, but I had to leave my review to encourage someone to take a chance :-)

Beautiful but delicate
This is a really beautiful set but it is quite delicate. We always handwashed it but still managed to get a sizable crack in the dip bowl.

Beware
It looks very nice, but it chips easily. If you buy it, make sure you store it somewhere that other things won't accidentally topple over on it.

Too Fragile
This set is beautiful but just too fragile. We received this item from our wedding registry in 2008, and about 1/3rd of the side of the large bowl cracked cleanly off from the rest of the bowl after the first use, while I was hand washing it in an otherwise empty sink. I was happy to see it on the website again and planned to order a replacement, until I read so many reviews here where others had similar experiences. I think it would probably be a wast e of money to order this again, which is unfortunate.

Broke During First Use!
We registered for this admittedly beautiful set as a wedding gift. Used it once and while hand washing, the top of the bowl broke. Far too fragile for even hand washing!

Good Looking but Fragile
I like the sleek look of the glass, but the dip bowl broke after being bumped in the cupboard (sigh). The lip of the pieces are very thin, so great care must be taken to avoid breaking them.

Chip Bowl
We received this as a wedding gift. It broke after just 2 uses (when I was washing it). It's a gorgeous bowl--but don't expect it to be around long. Sad.

Too delicate
I should have read the reviews before purchasing this piece. I love the look and function but it broke after one use. It broke by simply rubbing up against another dish. If you buy this set make sure to wash it gently and store it in a bump-free place! Had I realized how easily it would crack I would have immediately wrapped it in protective material and stored it in a box.

A must have serving piece!
First, I love this serving piece. I am only rating it a 4/5 because of the dip bowl. It's a good size, which is a positive. However, it's hard to get to the bottom of the bowl with a chip or piece of vegetable or whatever it is you may be dipping. You have to use a serving spoon with this one! I have used this piece every time we entertain and I always get a compliment. I love it for any kind of chips and dip or strawberries & dip or using the 2 pieces separately. Very versatile! Hand washing is recommended as I do with all my Crate and Barrel glassware.

Don't Buy
oh my gosh! we received this as a wedding present. I finally used it, washed it and while I was washing it....crack...there goes the fragile bowl...thin material...what a waste...I am going to call Crate and Barrel tomorrow to complain! How can something break while you are putting soap on it using a soft sponge! geez...

Oh So Fragile
We put this piece on our wedding registry after seeing the stylish design online, but upon receiving it were disappointed with how fragile it is. The glass feels almost paper thin along the top rim and we've been too afraid to use it for fear it will get chipped or cracked when entertaining for just a casual gathering.

Looks Nice...BUT
I loved the look of this product, but it was SO fragile, and the chip dish broke after just one use.
I would hold off for something sturdier!

Great till it broke!
LOVED the serving dish from everything to looks, what it was useful for as well as how it came in two pieces so you could keep a dip cold and so on.
I recently had a party and served shrimp on the outer bowl and the cocktail sauce in the center bowl. While one of my guests was dipping a shrimp, her ring on her finger bumped the smaller center bowl and it cracked. Needless to say I was disappointed at the fact I had to throw it away.
Like I said great for looks but definitely way to fragile for your wallet. I would waste the money!

Thin Glass
I loved this dish! I liked that the bowl came out so I could keep the dip cool in the fridge while I could set everything out early and when guests arrived pull out the dip. The problem with this bowl is that the glass is very thin! I was always careful with it however, I had one break in the dishwasher and another when someone bumped it with the spoon. I wish is was thicker glass. After two tries I will just have to move on.
