The Story

The next generation of our popular leaning storage system—now in a sleek and clean grey-stained mahogany finish. Ladder-style design secures against the wall for maximum stability (hardware included). Sturdy media stand has one fixed top shelf and two adjustable shelves concealed inside the cabinet. Cabinet is outfitted with sliding doors, cord management and ventilation slots. Components fit inside the cabinet; store DVDs and CDs in the upper divided cubbyhole. Narrow design suits smaller spaces, or allows the addition of two bookcases for an affordable, expansive wall of storage and display—yet still creates a 41"-wide space for a flat panel TV.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hard to build! My husband and I bought this for our new one bedroom apartment. I am very good at putting things together and most of the items in our apartment I have assembled. However, this entertainment center was not easy to assemble. The brackets in some of the boards that you use to lock together with other boards were not properly secured into the wood so they would fall out which wouldn't allow you to secure things properly. I ended up having to bring all of the pieces to my parents house and my dad had to use some of his power tools and other means to put this together for me. My father is a contractor/carpentar and has been one since he was 17 and is now in his late 40s. Enough said.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit We bought this last week and assembly was a breeze! The media stand fits perfectly in our living room. The storage space below is fit for purpose, because we managed to fit our Xbox One, Xbox Kinect, Audio Receiver and Dish Satellite Hopper Box inside the storage compartment with no issues. The value for money spent on this product at $149.00 is amazing given the contemporary design of this product. We used the box above the television surface to store photos and collectibles inside from various travels around the world ans we decorated the top with flowering plants

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit ! I bought this just in time for the holiday. It brings my living room to life I absolutely love. It took 2 hours to put together and it was worth the head ache.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks good, but not well made. We purchased this piece about a year and half ago along with the smaller leaning bookshelf and the leaning desk and book shelf. About 6 months later we noticed that the upper shelves on this piece were sagging noticeably. Shelves are not useable for books of any weight or any DVD. If you can stand a curved upper shelf, the rest of the unit works well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased I wanted less expensive and I got a piece of garbage. I wasnt expecting a piece of fine furniture but I was expecting to be able to get it together before the screws ripped of the "wood".

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for small spaces The unit itself was time-consuming to put together, but not much of a struggle. We flanked ours with two bookshelves, and aligning everything may have been the biggest challenge. It looks great though in our small, city home, giving us lots of storage without being a bulky piece of furniture. My only complaint would be that the wood tends to ding or scratch a little too easily--such as not being careful enough with a wicker basket on the bookshelf.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Media Center for small spaces I bought this in early Spring, put it together by myself with ease, and have loved it since! It fits perfectly in the area between the wall and fireplace bump out. I only wish I had a few more inches to add the matching shelf. . .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't be happier! I purchased the media stand along with leaning shelves about a month ago. They're the perfect addition to my living room. I have a smaller space, so the open design helps keep the room from feeling crowded. Although it did a take a while, I was able to put all of the pieces together by myself. Great buy- especially for the sale price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It is so nice to have a non-traditional color Love, love, love the color. It is so nice to have an option of something besides black or espresso. Don't get me wrong, I like those colors, too, but this grey is really extraordinary and I get tons of compliments on it. The piece itself is great, too. Completely functional and it wasn't too much of a challenge to assemble, either - in fact, I did it all by myself!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great, very practical I bought the leaning desk unit some time ago and recently bought the TV unit to go with it. I still love the concept - makes the room look bigger while doing a very practical job very well. VERY easy to assemble; did it on my own in about an hour.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Space Solution My condo has two large concrete columns in the living room area, which are taking up valuable living space. Developing a design solution to utilize the space between these columns has proven to be challenging, since the space is awkward and not very large, and the columns are very prominently located. I recently came across the Sloane Leaning Media Stand, along with the bookcase and desk, on display in a nearby Crate and Barrel and immediately thought that the set would be a perfect fit for the area in between the columns in my living room. With an inch to spare (I selected the 18" bookshelf to accommodate the TV console and desk), the set fit perfectly! Now, an awkward space has turned into a multi-use area: I work at my desk; we watch TV and hide away the TV receiver and internet modem and other items in the storage space below; the bookshelves house my books and allow me to add decorative items to liven up the space. The design is sleek, stylish and extremely well made. I'm so happy with the Sloane line and, although it is being discontinued, I'm also looking forward to the replacement line, which has a very similar look and feel, but comes in white. Well done Crate and Barrel! I am so happy with the items that I even bought the wine leaning stand for another part of my condo.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really like this media stand! I bought this along with a bookshelf for one side and the bookshelf/desk for the other. It fills up the entire wall and looks great! I put it together all my myself…not an easy feat, but I did it! Giving it 4 stars rather then 5 because of the quality. There were areas on the surface that were partially chipped/and/or scratched. Not enough to return it though, and I love the color.
