Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them I purchased these about a year ago. They are very durable. I love the lip on them, it helps hold the food on the place without sliding off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great style--elegant/casual I have used these as my everyday dishes for the last 14 months with our family of 4 (w two teenagers). I love the stylish shapes of each piece of the set. I shopped for dishes for quite awhile. I must admit when I first opened them I was surprised. They seemed thin-I worried about the sturdiness and the bottoms of each piece are not glazed. They have held up wonderfully. I love the hammered texture and sheen. The way the light reflects off of them is very attractive. I also wanted reasonably sized plates and bowls for my family for healthy portion control. Sizes are just right. I also opted buying all sizes of bowls. I love the options. I love the small ones-perfect for a muffin, cookie, or fruit. The standard bowl is perfect for salads, cereals and soup and I love the large ones for big salads and pasta--looks "restaurant elegant". I also love the white canvas for all meals. It is easy to find table linens and decorate holiday tables. The fact that they are porcelain makes them much sturdier than a stoneware. These dishes have an artisan look w the slight variation in each piece yet they stack nicely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fun look... I've had these dishes for a while now, and at first I was afraid they might be too fragile for everyday use...but so far not a chip or break! I am careful with them and try to hand wash, but occasionally they do go in the dishwasher. I love all the pieces and am very happy with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and simple I bought these dishes in November. I absolutely love them. They are a perfect white and the shape gives an interesting look. I paired them with the grayish chargers and I love them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Artsy and Quality I've purchased the entire set of the Mercer collection as my everyday dishes. I love the artsy characteristic of them - uneven, hand made look and feel of the finish. I've had the set for about a year and no chips or breaks, therefore feel the quality to be outstanding. Plus, if you do break one, it won't break the bank to replace it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Dishes! I bought serving set for 8 (without mugs). I love the look and feel of these dishes. They look handmade and they are very light and feel like fine china, but are not fragile. The price is amazing for the quality

Rated 5 out of 5 by from casual yet elegant Love my Mercer dinnerware. I chose not to register for fine China so I wanted to find dinnerware that was casual yet elegant. This fits the bill! Also, it is surprisingly durable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beautiful I have these for Daily eating and decor on my Farm Table. This set was just what I was looking for. I wanted white square dinnerware but everything I saw was so typical and everything looked alike. These have texture and not every piece is perfect. Beautiful modern rustic pieces I was looking for. I think I may get the round as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Dinnerware I ordered dinner plates, salad plates and bowls from the Mercer Dinnerware collection -- I couldn't have been more impressed. The plates and bowls are wide and their weight is substantial. The shape of this collection is modern, but not stuffy. I love handmade ceramics, and the variations in each piece give them that quality. I'm a little obsessed . . . .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and subtle! I own a few pieces of the Mercer dinnerware and will purchase more. I have used the dinner plates to serve appetizers in addition to regular use. I like white dinnerware but sometimes I would like to serve with a bit more character. The Mercer Dinnerware offers this with a low rim and very subtly textured surface. These are elegant and subtle while still providing a unique quality. This is hard to find at such a reasonable price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sizes I bought this about 6 months ago for every day use and some entertaining. I have two different size plates and the small bowl, which all stack well and make for a nice place setting. The bowls are great for a small dessert or starting off with a dip or salsa. I most like the durability of the product. I am pretty rough as far as washing dishes goes and these can take a beating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Dinnerware! We registered for the Mercer Dinnerware set of plates, bowls and others for our wedding and have been SO pleased with their simplicity, durability, and character! Their minimalist design makes them stand apart from other dinnerware while also being reasonably priced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unglazed items are not a problem For those worried about the bottom of ANY unglazed items...It can easily be remedied with regular wood working sandpaper...Just rub the unglazed surface, that touches on your table, lightly until smooth. How long will depend on the grit, fine or heavy, of the sandpaper used. It will smooth out nicely and won't scratch your tables! Takes just a minute or two!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great as a serving plate! I was picking up a few more place settings of my beloved Aspen dinnerware when I spied the Mercer plates and inspiration struck! I take a lot of cakes, etc. to different functions, and we entertain a lot. After damaging an expensive cake plate, I have been on the lookout for a plain, white, INEXPENSIVE cake plate that doesn't look like it came from the dollar store. The Mercer plates are PERFECT! They are totally flat, which most dining plates aren't, and it has a nice lip all the way around to prevent any escapees! The dinner plate is perfect for 8" or 9" cakes and the salad plate can handle an 8" cake or a baked brie or small tart. And for $5 or $6, I couldn't care less if I ruin it and need to buy another. The only thing I don't love about these plates is that the underside is completely unglazed and would really scratch a table if you didn't protect it.
