The Story

This intriguing drawing is part of series Julie S. Graham created in response to the view outside her studio. Maintaining a studio in an industrial area of Boston, Graham became fascinated with the contrast between the organic forms found in nature and the geometric order of the manmade environment. In her delicately sketched and subtly colored drawing, she situates an orderly stacks of ovals and rectangles next to an explosion of tiny, randomly dispersed dots. Each giclée reproduction of the original is presented in a double white mat and framed in a clean matte black wood frame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice artwork! I just purchased "stacks 4" for my mid-century modern ranch. I love that it is a great piece of artwork at such a reasonable price. I have it in my bedroom on the wall by a neat orange open walnut danish chair. It looks great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great picture! I bought Stacks 4 along with Stacks 12 and just love it! The two pictures go great together and are the perfect size. The only issue my husband and I had was how to hang it up. Each picture comes with 2 hooks to hang up the frame - which makes it very hard to hang the picture up straight. At some point, we gave up and decided to lay the pictures (upright) on top of a console table. Whatever way you decide to hang up the pictures, it doesn't really matter - they are just so interesting. Highly recommend buying.
