The Story

Solid stoneware glazed milky white, banded and textured with a wax-resist technique that exposes unglazed colors of natural clay, stone grey, brown and terracotta. Designer Jono Pandolfi, whose table settings grace the tables of leading New York restaurants, returns to his roots as a potter to create the artisan-inspired iconic shapes of a mix-and match-dinnerware array that upgrades the look of casual.

Studio Dark Clay Bowl is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bowl! This is a wonderful heavy duty bowl, perfect for a generous salad or soup, or as a serving dish for a small side. The surface has a slight sheen and the textured edge gives it a lot of character. I use it for food photography and it has been a great piece.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Look Love the look and feel of this dinnerware. It has a casual, earthy appearance. I like that the pieces feel substantial, nice, heavy weight and that they aren't glazed. Just the look I wanted to replace some older, quite chipped dinnerware. Haven't had these long enough to evaluate the durability, but from all appearances, I think they will hold up well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely LOVE!!! My boyfriend and I bought this set two months ago. My sister actually picked it out for us and the moment I saw them it screamed out our names and I just had to buy them. I am an artist so the overall look; different texture of rough and smooth and the ability mix the dark studio set with the light studio set caught my eyes. It's perfect for the theme I am going for, which is a nature look. I absolutely LOVE these!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from unique modern pottery i actually made my own dinnerware "set" from the crate and barrel collection. i have combined the roscoe plate, the studio dark clay salad plate with the tondo 6" wood appetizer plate. this creates a very earthy inspired by the beach. sand, polished rocks and driftwood. love crate and barrel!
