The Story

Solid stoneware glazed milky white, banded and textured with a wax-resist technique that exposes unglazed colors of natural clay, stone grey, brown and terracotta. Designer Jono Pandolfi, whose table settings grace the tables of leading New York restaurants, returns to his roots as a potter to create the artisan-inspired iconic shapes of a mix-and match-dinnerware array that upgrades the look of casual.

Studio Light Clay Dinner Plate is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the look Purchased a large quantity about two months ago to replace my old dishes--need to serve 15+ adults when family gathers. Absolutely love the look; I mixed Studio Light Clay and Studio Dark Clay with pieces from Mateo also (prefer the cups and pasta bowls from Mateo). We entertain a lot and I get constant comments from guests; they particularly like the way I mixed pieces. They are clay so do retain heat and moisture but that hasn't caused me problems (I do let them set in dishwasher a bit after cycle is done). This is exactly the look I was hoping to find and could not be more pleased!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful to look at, but what a weird smell! I loved these plates when I first bought them. They're pretty, they're functional, and they really take a beating. But after having them for three months, they have developed a really weird smell on the unfinished edge. At first, I thought maybe my dishwashing machine was broken. But even by hand washing, they'll take on the smell of the soap for a second and then go right back to smelling off.So disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the design Looks great to mix and match all Studio designs/colors.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Clay dinnerware, pretty but ruined my wood table The clay bottom on this dinnerware line transferred the heat from the heat directly into the bottom and it was like placing a hot pan directly onto my table. My table is wood and these dishes have puckered and bubbled the finish and basically ruined my table's finish.
