Rated 4 out of 5 by from happy with purchase I purchase this table a year ago and it is still great. We use it every day and guests love it also. However, I have to agree that you do have to know a bit about teak and wood product in general to care for this table. My husband is a wood maker so he purchased tung oil to seal the table and gave it a good richer color and shine that water actually beads up on it. Easy wiping and clean without a hassle; just wipe with a wet soapy cloth. And it still looks great after a year of every day use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not as advertised This is teak, but it is not made of solid slabs. It is only 3/4" thick with a 2" border glued to appear thicker. It is also laminated with a veneer about 3/16" thick to make it look like boards. The pictures on the website make it appear to be a real bread-board construction table. If you look very closely you can see that there is no end-grain on the end-piece...As others mentioned, it is not finished and will require standard maintenance like oil/waxing. The big problem, is that a crummy veneer, there is no real opportunity for refinishing if the surface gets trashed...The frame I got was 304 stainless. It is thin wall box tube, nothing special. Decent welding. The top was misaligned when it was screed down and off about 1/8" on opposite corners.IF this was a solid teak table, there would be about $380 worth of retail teak and about $30 worth of stainless (priced at a lumber distributer based on $23 per board foot. There is no amazing craftsmanship in either the top or the frame fabrication. As this is NOT solid teak, but a poorly glued up veneer, and a false edge... who knows what it is worth... Certainly nowhere near the $1300+ they are asking.I am returning mine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too much maintenance for terrible results I bought this table a little over a year ago and though it looked amazing when I got it...like other reviewers stated, it became stained in no time. I eventually had to use a plastic tablecloth to ensure nothing else would stain the table. Sanded, scrubbed, mild soap and water....blah blah blah...I guarantee you won't be satisfied with the results. I suggest you select a different top OR get your teak table elsewhere.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed. This is not a quality product. The issue is the teak table top. Everything that touches it is absorbed and stains. Instructions for cleaning are not at all helpful. While the table itself is solid, the teak top is a disaster. If you're considering the table, opt for something other than the teak. By all means, the value isn't there for the price charged.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Be carefull! In one week of use, it is full of stains that are very difficult to clean, especially food spills. I did follow all instructions, but it simply absorbs everything it touches. Very disapointing. If you buy it, only use a table cloth (never a table mat) or use a strong sealant before start using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice clean look This looks great in the small dinette area off my kitchen. The reclaimed teak top has a nice, worry-free rustic feel. I added four brushed aluminum delta chairs to it. I'm getting lots of compliments!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This table is not for those with kids! I'm a long user of reviews but often don't take the time to give them but felt that in this case I should. I purchased this table with mindset that teak would give me durability, especially with young children. However, the teak is highly sensitive to ANY oil spots. Even after using the recommended natural sealer that Crate and Barrel sells if any small spot of oil fell on it it spotted. You can pull out the oil with baby powder most of the time but it is a "all" the time process. We were able to exchange for the glass. (thank you C&B)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from parsons teak 72x42" dinning table good contemporary looking, sturdy, fast delivery, free assembly. table top may not be solid teak, with a thin layer of teak on the surface of the tabletop. Just treated with Golden care Teak shield. Not sure if there will be stain or not yet. Generally speaking, a good product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Instructions are bad We recently bought this table for our kitchen and I was excited when my husband picked it up. However, after unwrapping it we found some atrocious directions and realized that there where screws but NO holes and one of them broke inside the wood. The other issue is that it's really hard to assemble without the holes at the bottom of wood and making align correctly with the base. Our table looks great although it's a quarter of an inch off on one side. The instructions need to be redone and the screws should not come apart inside the table. There needs to be screw holes drilled into the table prior to shipment.
