Tidore Rectangular Rail Planter is rated 4.3333 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Perfect Planter This planter fits perfectly on the terrace of my NYC apartment. It is sleek, design-worthy, a great subtle color yet functional, lightweight and affordable. I was able to plant a collection of annuals, including a substantial grass which has grown quite large but allows the other plantings to peek through. Although I have not used the stand, I purchased it nevertheless to have available for a possible future residence. The only negative is that drainage holes are not available – I am concerned that drilling myself may result in cracks. Therefore, I purchased a perfect-sized insert (with drainage holes) at my local hardware store and keep an inexpensive tray at the base of it to catch any spill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Water does drain out of it I purchased the rail planter with the holder to use on my deck. It is really nice looking, and I was hesitant to drill holes for drainage. I left it outside before potting my plants, and I was surprised that it was fairly dry inside even after a heavy rain. I poured about an inch of water into the planter, and I watched it trickle right out. So if you buy this, check for yourself before drilling any holes. It's a little pricey, but it looks very nice and not at all like it is plastic. I will consider buying more Tidore planters, especially if they are ever on sale.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great looking! I got two of these for Mother's Day, what a nice surprise. I hope the water can drip out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't stop buying them! Every year I buy another tidore planter and railholder for our deck. I love them because they look neutral and natural but are not wood that rots away with moisture. The curved holders are rounded to fit our deck railing. I have read that they do not allow water to go out but that is not true. It's just that they do not have obvious holes in the bottom. Still the best planters I have had.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from really nice buy Bought one last year and really think it is a good buy. It is a bit pricey but the quality is good and fits on our side porch railing and is very sturdy with the hanger. Looked this year and I see drainage holes. Not sure if my husband drilled them, but they were very useful. So I want another one for the other railing. One of the better purchases even looking at garden shops around here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful! I thought a long time before purchasing these planters and the racks because of the cost. I am so happy I got them. What beautiful planters - very well made, sturdy and were a great purchase. You won't be sorry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderful addition to the deck! I purchased this about a month ago to go alone with the one purchased last year. They look wonderful together on the deck. I am trying to grow Zinnias in the tidore rectangular planter, they do look good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rail Planter Hook: Strong, sturdy, good looking I've been using these rail planter hooks on my front and side porches and deck for two or three years now. They are very sturdy. They grip the rail well. They are stable. They don't chip or crack. I get lots of questions and comments about them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great patio look I bought this planter to spruce up my patio. I planted a variety of succulents and it looks great. Only downside is that it hangs at a slightly awkward angle due to the railing style.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous Smooth Finish, Well Made Planter I am a florist. I purchased two of these for a client event. We filled them with a colorful variety of herbs and placd them on her kitchen counters. She was so happy with them she purchased the planters from me later to use again for her holiday festivities! I will miss them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great planter box for Trex decking! I love these over the rail planter boxes! Worth the money!! They fit perfectly and securely over my Trex deck railing without making any marks or scratches and you don't need any hardware to secure them on. They don't have any drainage holes so the only thing I did to them was drill a few holes in the bottom to allow excess water to drain out. When I ordered them, they were on backorder so while it took 3+ weeks for me to receive them, now that I have them I can certainly say it was worth the wait! They are expensive as compared to other planters but appear to be well built and are probably worth the price for the value you receive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun planter Overall, I really like these planters. They have a nice plank detail in a brown-grey tone that has a weathered feel. They are a nice length and depth so you could tuck in various plants year round. The planter fit snugly in the bracket which is a nice find. The reason for my 4-star rating is that the bracket portion has a very narrow size depth that would go over the railing. I have a wider than average cedar railing on my porch and these brackets just wouldn't accommodate the width of the board. These are more for a standard 2x4 hand railing and rally won't fit much more.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very impressing! I was a little hesitate to get it because of the price, but i ordered two and happy i did. This is my first year with it; and anxious to see many more with it. Time will tell how durable it is. Hope it doesn't disappoint me because i'm really happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This planter is a perfect fit! I bought some small and bigger Tidore planters last year and they have been perfect for our new deck. The railing is curved so we needed a curved hook. It is easy to move the planters around as you don't have to fasten them. They don't rust and look like wood without the maintenance. There are no obvious holes for drainage but the excess water does drain out through the slats. Not expensive, very functional and attractive. Couldn't ask for more. Have already bought more this year!
