The Story

Avoid bits of cork in your fine wine. This clever corkscrew removes corks intact. Simply insert longer blade between cork and bottle, follow with the shorter blade on the other side and rock the two blades down the neck of the bottle. A quick pull and a couple of twists and out pops the cork. Storage sleeve protects blades from bending.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delightfully Efficient! Think of your oldest vintage and how special it may be to you. Now think of how long that cork has been sitting there crammed in the neck of that beloved wine bottle. It's dry and fragile and the last thing standing between you and that delicious nectar! The last thing you want to do is mangle the cork whilst excitedly clawing to get in. This cork'screw' helps to reduce the risk of damaging the cork by working around it, not through it. It took a bottle or two to figure out perfectly but has been my go-to wine opener for the past several months. It feels very secure and well-built. I should also note that I am a sucker for simplistic and brilliantly well-designed products that rely on engineering rather than ornamentation. A MILLION THUMBS UP.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard to use I bought this and hoped it would be easier than a traditional corkscrew, but I had a very hard time with it and I'm probably going to return it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Second chance We purchased this cork puller around the 1st of the year (2014) to supplement our various cork removers.Bladed cork pullers are some of the older styles in existence and we had been looking for nice quality one.It is a fine looking device and does a workmanlike job removing corks.Unfortunately after less than 3 months of use on several dozen wine bottles, the longer of the two blades got twisted. Not sure what happened.Anyway, we returned to our local C&B and exchanged the defective one for a new one.Hopefully, that will be the end of our difficulties with this cork puller.
