Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Ever Steam Basket I have tried many steam baskets (most of which ended up in the trash can) but this one is the best. Standout feature is the plastic handle in the middle that collapses down (makes it easy to fit into short pots). Also, you can pick it up by the plastic handle without burning your hand (other models are always metal). Probably use this thing 2-3 times a week. Throw it in the dishwasher for easy clean. Still no rust, either. Love this thing!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Has some nice features This steamer fits into a few of my pots and I don't need to worry about the feet scratching any with nonstick coatings. The handle is well-shaped and easy to grab and lift the steamer. It cleans easily. I wish the legs were longer though. My water tends to boil away if I'm steaming for more than seven or eight minutes so I have to fill the water up to where it covers some of my vegetables.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Steamer I really like the silicone feet on the bottom of this steamer- they help keep my pots from getter scratched up. I have a set of Calphalon Contemporary Non-Stick pots, and this steamer fits in all but the smallest one. I like that I can open it up so it fits in my stock pot for when I have large amounts of veggies to steam!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I received this steamer as a wedding present a few years ago and love it. It is very easy to use and fits into different size pots. I use it weekly and it is fast and easily cleaned to use again and again. I have given it as a gift also and think it is a kitchen must have. It is great for all skill levels of cooks.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Suggestable Steaming Purchasing a steamer without the pot is not a good idea. This particular steamer doesn't fit into any of my pots, and isn't big enough to allow even steaming of vegetables like broccoli.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from sturdy steamer This steamer is a good value for it's price. It fits into my pan and is sturdy, opens and closes easily. Great for quickly steaming small - medium amounts of vegetables.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Steamer I love this little steamer. It's silicone feet keep the pot from getting scratched and the extending handle keeps your fingers from getting steamed. Love it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice steamer It's nice that the feet are silicone which prevents scratching on non-stick or even in stainless steel pots. I like the handle too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ehh.. The steamer does its job, but I honestly think it's cheaply made. I was pretty disappointed with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact & efficient This is a great little steamer. It expands to fit the width of any size pot/pan so you don't lose any steaming veggies to the boiling water below. The little black handle in the center also extends upward, so that you don't have to plunge your hand completely down into your hot, steamy pot to retrieve your steaming basket. The little rubberized feet on the bottom also keep the steamer from scratching up the bottom of your non-stick cookware. :) And when you're all done with it, it returns to its compact size to be stowed away easily in any drawer or cabinet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Wishing I'd bought a move basic model I was so excited to find this slightly fancier little steamer, but so disappointed when I got it home. The first time I used it I discovered it was just an 1/16th of an inch too big for all of my pots, so I have to tilt it sideways to use it at all – not convenient! I have very typical copper-bottom pots, which I thought came in a standard sizes and I wish C&B would have taken such standard sizing into consideration when designing their steamer. On the positive side, the steamer has a useful extendible handle and gripping, non-scratch silicone feet. However, considering it is not really usable for me I wish I'd just bought a standard old-school steamer to go with my standard old-school pots.Bottom line – bring your pots with you (or measure before) when buying this otherwise great-seeming steamer!
