A college semester in Italy introduced Natalie George to the tradition of realism. In the years that followed, she added to her skill set by experimenting with abstraction. Today, she paints heavily abstracted landscapes, combining unexpected colors to create her interpretation of reflective bodies of water. George works out of an extra bedroom in her home, accompanied by her cat. “When he hears me going up the stairs to my studio, he races to sit in my painting chair first.”
