Ideas and Inspiration: How to Use a Pasta Maker

  1. Securely attach the pasta maker to a stable surface such as a kitchen counter or tabletop.
  2. Gently flatten fresh pasta dough with your hands or a rolling pin. Sprinkle both sides with flour.
  3. Set the thickness of your pasta maker to 0 and pass the sheet of dough through the smooth rollers. Increase the setting to 1 and roll the dough through the smooth rollers again.
  4. Continue increasing the setting on the smooth roller until you have achieved the desired thickness for your pasta. The sheet of pasta dough should get thinner and longer with each pass through the roller.
  1. Move the hand crank from the smooth roller to the cutting rollers. Choose the best cut for the type of pasta you would like to make (i.e. fettucine, spaghetti, etc.)
  2. Use a knife to cut your long sheet of pasta dough to the desired length of your noodles and sprinkle with flour. Feed the piece of dough through the cutting rollers to create noodles.
  3. Move the cut noodles to a noodle drying rack before cooking.
