Duvet Covers & Duvet Inserts
What is a Duvet Cover?
A duvet cover is a decorative piece of bedding that is used to protect a duvet insert. Traditionally, a duvet cover is made from cotton, linen or synthetic materials, and it is sewn on three sides with one side open to allow the duvet insert to be placed inside. Some duvet covers have interior fabric ties to secure the insert in place. Most have either a button or zipper closure to keep the insert or comforter clean. Duvet covers come in a wide range of colors and patterns to fit your personal style.
What is a Duvet Insert?
A duvet insert is a type of bedding that is used in cold weather for layering. It can be an alternative for a blanket and typically is placed within a decorative cover. Duvet inserts (sometimes referred to as comforters) are available in feather down or down alternative materials. Feathers or synthetic microfiber materials are sewn between layers of fabric to create a piece of bedding that is warm and plush.
