Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pebble top peeling off Looked great when new, but the pebble top is peeling off and now looks tired an old. I contacted CB customer service and they refused to address the issue... suggested I go to a local shop and have some glass panels cut to replace the defective pebble top. Seriously? Oh, and the frame is rusting. I expect better quality from a $1100 table and better support from CB.Stay away from this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from buy the painted glass, not the pebble top Everything about this set is great except for pebble top. The pebble top discoloring is a real problem. The first time this happened C&B sent us out new pebble tops for both tables. A few months later, the same problem. We're giving up on the pebble top and getting the painted glass tops to replace them. Save yourself some time and start with the painted glass top.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Love the look but had not held up We have a complete set of the Dune collection - tables, chairs, chaises, sofa, ottomans. It's two years old and the top of the tables (coffee, dining and side) are all stained even though we have been religious about the cleaning materials used (only the cleaner from the store). In addition, the metal around all the pieces are so badly rusted. This set was fairly pricey but we thought it would hold up but here we are two years later and the set looks awful.

The reviews state the table finish stains and looks bad almost immediately. The last review was only one month ago. Is the problem with both table tops or just the pebbled?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Rust & Stains We babied this furniture, protected it and followed the care instructions. But the pebbled top is completely stained and the stainless steel is rusting. So disappointing, especially considering it wasn't exactly cheap.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Can't clean pebble top We loved this set in the store and bought the dining table, side tables, and coffee table with the pebble glass two summers ago. Very disappointed in the finish on all tops-looks worn and stained. We bring all of our furniture in for the winter and bought both the special cleaner and protector, not worth the money.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Like it but.... We bought this table in June of 2012 and because of delivery problems didn't receive it until the end of August. So basically the table has been outside for less than ten months as we bring it in during the winter. We are having the same problems with the finish -- it comes off after washing with Palmolive and a cloth and leaves a chalky residue in the pail. We asked at the store and were told they don't carry the special cleaner and protecter but we could phone long distance to order some and presumably pay for the courier too. I don't think the special products will do any good so will save myself the bother and expense. Too bad because we really like the look and size of the table. I guess we could always flip the glass over and use the shiny side but we paid extra because we liked the pebbled look.

Whether a leisurely breakfast or dinner with friends and family, this table gets almost daily use. It has become our "go to" spot in our recently resesigned back yard. Thanks for the great contemporary design and the mix of materials.

Assembly may be required for this item based on shipping location and delivery method. Items shipped via In-Home Delivery will be placed in the room of your choice and assembled. All packaging will be removed and recycled at our warehouse for Local In-Home Delivery, or placed at your curbside or nearest trash pickup area for Long Distance In-Home Delivery. You've put a lot of care into choosing your furnishings. And with continued care at home, they should share your address for many years to come. Now for your owner's manual...

  • Do not leave spills unattended.
  • For outdoor use.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaner.
  • Cover or store indoors during the winter and/or extreme weather.
  • Rust spots should be cared for promptly.
  • We recommend using a soft brush to remove dirt and dust.
  • To prevent mildew during storage,fabric and furniture must be dry.
  • Clean surfaces with a dry or damp soft cloth.
  • Clean Stainless Steel Frames with our Furniture Cleaner/Protector.
  • Oceanside locations should use protectant several times a month.
  • We recommend the use of our Outdoor Furniture Protector.
  • DO NOT USE GLASS CLEANER ON THE PEBBLED GLASS. THIS CAN RESULT IN
  • FADING OR STAINING OF THE COLOR.
  • We recommend the use of our Outdoor Multi Surface Cleaner which
  • can be used on frames and cushions.
  • Do not use glass cleaner on stainless steel.
  • Clean Pebbled Glass with mild soap and water.
  • We recommend the use of our outdoor furniture covers. When using
  • a furniture cover over pebbled glass, it is necessary to place a
  • plastic barrier between the cover and tabletop.

At Crate and Barrel, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our furniture and rugs. Attention to detail in design, materials and construction is always at the forefront. We encourage you to inspect the item upon receipt. If you have a concern or believe there is a quality issue, we will work with you to correct it, in accordance with the policy below. For furniture and rug orders placed online, please call us at 800.606.6462. For orders placed through a store, please contact the store where the sale originated.

Stock Furniture, Rugs and Rug Pads

Payment is required in full for in-stock items. For out-of-stock items, we require a 50% deposit to reserve incoming stock and full payment of the balance prior to scheduling delivery (or pickup of eligible items). You may cancel your Stock order at any time prior to delivery or pickup for a full refund.

If you are not satisfied with your Stock furniture, rug or rug pad purchase upon receipt, you must contact us within 7 days of your delivery or pickup to arrange a return. The item must be returned within 30 days of delivery or pickup.

All items will be inspected upon return. A restocking fee will apply, starting at 25% of the purchase price, for any items not returned in good condition or outside the stated time frame.

Proof of purchase is required to issue an appropriate exchange, credit or refund, as well as any taxes due to be refunded in accordance with applicable state law. Refunds will be issued in the Original Form of Tender (cash refunds are limited to $100 in store with any balance refunded as a check by mail). For your convenience, we will accept the following as proof of your purchase:

  • eReceipt
  • Original Packing Slip
  • Gift Packing Slip
  • Order Number
  • Gift Registry Number

We can also verify proof of purchase by looking up your original receipt using your Crate and Barrel Credit Card or major credit card used at the time of purchase, or the email address used to receive an eReceipt.

Additional Colors and Frames, Custom Furniture, and Custom Rugs

These special-order items are made to your individual specifications; therefore, we cannot accept returns or exchanges.

Additional Colors and Frames, plus Custom fabrics and select leg finish and cushion options, can be purchased at stores and online; visit a store for all Custom fabric, finish, cushion and detail options (prices vary based on selection).

We require a 50% deposit for all Additional Color, Additional Frame and Custom order merchandise. The balance must be paid in full prior to scheduling delivery (or pickup of eligible items).

Once you place your order for Additional Color, Additional Frame or Custom merchandise, you have 72 hours to change or cancel. After 72 hours, your 50% deposit is nonrefundable. The 72-hour time frame begins as soon as you place your order and confirm your fabric selection in a store or online.

For Additional Color, Additional Frame and Custom orders canceled within 72 hours, an appropriate exchange, credit or refund will be issued, as well as any taxes due to be refunded in accordance with applicable state law. Refunds will be issued in the Original Form of Tender (cash refunds are limited to $100 in store with any balance refunded as a check by mail).

If an Additional Color, Additional Frame or Custom item arrives with a manufacturing defect or damage caused during transit, we will repair or replace the defective or damaged area. If that is not possible, we will arrange an exchange. We reserve the right to determine the best course of action.
