Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like crystal but so much cheaper When I was first married I had baccarat crystal everything, very expensive. Then one day the shelf broke in my china cabinet and like dominos the shelfs all crashed in on one another, shattering every stem. I turned to C&B replacing numerous items with things like these fabulous stems. They are delicate like crystal, but you don't break the bank, or your heart, if one breaks. I love the style with the rounded glass. They look gorgeous on any place setting, whether formal or informal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE!!! I'll admit....I fell in love with these on Gossip Girl and hunted them down. When I started planning my wedding I knew exactly which flutes I wanted for our toast. My husband and I have a deep love for champagne so we wanted glasses that we actually wanted to use again. Now every time we use them(which is weekly) we have happy memories of our wedding day, without the tacky bling and monograms. They're practical, unique, and I LOVE them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classy I bought these for toasting glasses for a wedding. The couple wasn't the engraved "Bride and Groom" kind of style. These were classy, modern and elegant. I would like a set for myself!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beautiful Glass - Breaks Easily I bought these glasses because they are so beautiful. My sister in law had warned me that they break easily but i still got it. Naturally, 1 broken pretty soon into me owning it so the next time I was in Texas i replaced it. while at a party, my guest pointed out that the top rim on the glass was not even, it was a small thing piece broken. it's really frustrating to spend so much on a glass and not even get one use out of it. Definitely not worth replacing anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They are so unique! I had my eye on the Edge Wine glasses for months but thought I could possibly find ones like it elsewhere and cheeper........... but no they are just such fun. So I am slowly getting a few more over time. I love the experience of enjoying a special glass of wine which includes the glass it's served in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for entertaining! I've bought these flutes now twice. (We entertain a lot and break glasses regularly.) They are the perfect size for entertaining a large crowd. They're slim and elegant so many can fit on a serving tray.

Variety of red and white wine glasses

Ideas and Inspiration: What are Wine Glasses Called?

Glassware types specifically used to serve wine are called wine glasses. This stemware has a variety of names depending on the type of wine it is designed to serve:

  1. Red Wine Glasses: Traditional red wine glasses feature a large bowl that helps aerate the wine. A Bordeaux glass, for example, features a large, tall bowl designed for heavier reds. A Burgundy glass has a short, wide bowl to enhance the flavors in lighter reds.
  2. White Wine Glasses: White wine glasses have smaller bowls than a red wine glasses and feature a less rounded upright u-shape. A Sauvignon Blanc glass is designed for light whites, while a Chardonnay glass is designed for full-bodied whites. Rose wine can always be served in a white wine glass.
  1. Flutes: Champagne flutes, have a taller, narrower shape than standard red and white glasses to maintain the carbonation of champagne and sparkling wines.
  2. Coupe Glasses: Coupe glasses feature distinctive short, wide bowls and have a vintage appearance. Use to serve sparkling wine and cocktails.
  3. Stemless Wine Glasses or Tumblers: Stemless wine glasses are comprised only of the bowl and do not include the stem and foot of traditional glasses, offering a more casual look for wine tastings and parties.
  4. Dessert Wine Glasses: The smallest of all stemware, dessert vessels include sherry, cordial and port glasses. The bowl shapes vary depending on the type of wine it's used to serve.
