Somewhere Over the Decor

I grew up in a time where watching Reading Rainbow with my sister was our ritual for after school. Lisa Frank was all the rage, and I had a rainbow bedspread.
Nowadays, kids still love rainbows. Maybe it’s because it reminds them of candy, so colorful and fun and well, full of sugar. And rainbows are great inspiration to create a space for kids and really the whole family. It’s wonderful to spread color around like spreading bits of positive energy around the space.
It’s easy too. You can organize things into color order or sporadically place color about bringing that vitality into your space.

Nod offers tons of options to create this rainbow or buy an already made one. Also, I’ve found rainbow is an excellent party theme as you just use every color you can find!

Despite my more refined palette, I find I’m still a Dorothy at heart.

Fast forward to adulthood, and Julia had the opportunity to work for a paint company where she honed her eye for color, and sometimes even got to name colors things like Dandelion Scream and Wild Child.
