Get the Look – Deco Pop

September 16, 2014

Written by Anna Passadori, Nod’s resident trend expert

For this look I was inspired by a mix of Art Deco and the 1960’s, with a modern twist. Perfect for a girls’ room or nursery, this look is glamorous and bold with a flair for the over the top and dramatic.

Don’t be afraid of adding in dark colors like black or navy. These rooms are still very edgy and feminine without being overly saturated in pink or neutrals:

Use jewel tones and pops of color with a 60’s vibe. Mix up the materials using both high shine metallic’s and rich textiles. Look for overly feminine details and accessories:

For a touch of softness, add in sheer or velvet fabrics, floral motifs and delicate details:

Now, try it for yourself!
