Kids Art Supply Jar

I’ve been a huge fan of process art since working in a Reggio Emilia-based preschool some years ago and discovering the works of Bev Bos and Mary Ann Kohl.  This approach is about providing a variety of materials, tools, objects and media for your children to explore when they are first starting out in making art.  They create, they express their ideas, they learn to put things together in new ways and they have fun!  There’s no mold for them to fit into and no other’s person’s vision that they’re carrying out.  It’s “all them” and they become confident and independent creators who feel that their ideas are respected.  This is why I love this collection of art supplies and materials in the Artist’s Surplus Art Jar.  There are a ton of different textures and shapes that provide wonderful, open-ended opportunities to invent, innovate and create art.  This kids art jar kit is good for a sunny or rainy afternoon, and in fact, is great to pull out regularly to provide some daily or weekly creative free time!
