Acrylic Trend Roundup

It is no surprise that acrylic has made such a huge comeback in furniture design. From coffee tables to bookshelves to nightstands and beyond, acrylic can do it all. It has even proven to be a viable contender in crib design! Just check out the chic new Panorama Crib and see for yourself.

Acrylic is such a versatile material and can easily fit in among different themes, finishes, and room types, whether you’re designing a modern playroom or a cozy nursery. Personally, I love contrasting an acrylic piece with a natural wood finish or a fluffy shag material because I think it brings balance to the overall style of a space.

It’s amazing how such simple, seamless construction can create a sense of modern elegance in a space. It’s the perfect choice for adding an artsy punch to a playroom. In smaller spaces, a larger acrylic storage piece like the Block Tower Bookcase is a perfect solution for organizing books and toys without making the space feel overcrowded with furniture.

Acrylic can be a great choice for either a boys room or girls room. I like to think of it as the chameleon of furniture materials. Whatever the color scheme or coordinating furniture items, you can throw an acrylic bookcart or nightstand into the mix and it will fit right in. Also, this is a material that has been around since the late 1930’s, so while it feels very modern, it’s a time-tested design style. Unlike other trends, these pieces aren’t going to start feeling dated in a few short years. So dive into the trend and snag an acrylic treat for your space!

Happy Styling!
