Get Cold Weather Ready with Flannel

Now that the crisp, cold air is here to stay (and now that I am willing to acknowledge this reality), it is time to pack up the light, cotton bedding of summertime in favor of something a little more substantial. That’s right, it’s flannel season. There is nothing I love more than being warm and cozy in my home when it is blustery and unwelcoming outside. I say, bring on the baskets filled with wool blankets. Bring on the soft fleece and knitted throw pillows! Bring on the cedar scented candles and hot cocoa! I am more than willing to trade my summer freckles and sunburns for buffalo check prints and pumpkin pie.
