Girl’s Room Design for an Animal Lover

This room was designed for a little girl with a love of animals. We took care to balance the lighter elements (mint bed) with the richer elements (navy bedding, rug) while including animal accents.

A few other easy-to-incorporate elements include:

• Warm vs. Cool – We paired our mint Larkin bed with the stone Hampshire dresser because of the warm and cool contrast. The two warm vs. cool contrasts in this design are mint vs. taupe and metal vs. wood.
• Pops of Color – Notice the yellow accessories throughout the room. Pops of color help give rooms an interesting visual point.
• Balance – Navy was chosen to balance out the sweetness of the mint bed. It helps add balance and contrast.
